Mazak's Spindle Service Centre (SSC) is a dedicated resource that maximises Spindle performance for our customers. The department is looking to invest in capacity to align production with the increased demand for SSC-repaired spindles.
The successful candidate will be part of the Spindle Strip & Wash team based at the PDC site, working together to achieve targets set by the area team leader.

Job Description
The Role
- Strip down returned broken spindles.
- Clean parts using approved methods.
- Test spindle stators to check if they are good to reuse.
- Inspect stripped parts to determine if they can be reused.
- Follow health & safety guidelines.
Essential Criteria:
- Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Keen to learn new skills and transfer knowledge within the team, always acting as a team player.
- Has a problem-solving mindset.
- Flexible for overtime when required to meet the production target.
- Ability to work with hand tools safely.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work with or without supervision.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in dismantling and cleaning mechanical parts safely.
- Experience in forklift operation.
- Experience in motor testing
- Experience in parts inspection and re-ordering.
- Apprentice trained.
