Mechanical Fitter / Tester
2-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Telford
Salary: £17.80ph (Approximately £36,000+ pro rata), plus overtime opportunities.
We're seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters / Testers to join a leading engineering business in Telford on an immediate 2-month fixed-term contract. You'll be responsible for the assembly, testing and commissioning of bespoke material handling equipment, helping to deliver high-quality machinery to customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical fitting and assembly from engineering drawings
- Installation of hydraulic components, systems and pipework
- Machine setup, testing and fault finding
- Working with hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment
- Ensuring work is completed safely and to high-quality standards
- Maintaining workshop housekeeping and accurate documentation
- Supporting colleagues and sharing engineering best practice
What We're Looking For:
- Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
- Proven mechanical fitting experience within machine building, manufacturing or assembly environments
- Ability to read engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A proactive approach with a strong focus on safety and quality
