Metrology Engineer required to join a market leader in the production of car components. My client is seeking a skilled Metrology Engineer to support dimensional control, measurement systems, and continuous improvement within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment using CMM and GOM. Available is a competitive salary, excellent prospects and opportunity to join a business who continue to invest in their modern site in Telford.

Hours of work 8.30 - 5 Mon I Fri (2pm Finish Friday)

Salary £45 - 50K

Metrology Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Program and maintain CMM (Calypso) and GOM (blue light scanning) systems
  • Perform dimensional analysis and support production & NPI activities
  • Lead measurement system validation (MSA) and dimensional reviews
  • Apply Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and structured problem-solving techniques
  • Analyse data using advanced Excel and SPC/Minitab to improve process capability
  • Support APQP/PPAP activities and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement across metrology and wider operations

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing / automotive environment
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and CMM programming or GOM
  • Knowledge of Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA)
  • Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

Desirable

  • Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with GOM systems Ziess Inspect
  • Calypso CMM

Current or recent experience as metrology technician, cmm inspector, metrology engineer, cmm technician, cmm inspector, pc-dmis, hexagon cmm

We are looking for 4 Technical Operators to join a leading FMCG manufacturer in Telford (Shropshire) these jobs will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12 hour days and nights 6-6), and the starting salary for these roles will range between £35,000 - £36,300 per annum.

People who have worked in similar job roles such as a Manufacturing Technician, Production Technician, Machine Setter Operator, Process Operator, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter or Skilled Machinist within a manufacturing environment would be a great fit for these jobs.

You will be required to complete an on-line assessment in the first instance, but providing you pass this, you will be invited on site Friday 1st of May (which will last roughly for 3 hours) and this will include an on-site interview and full factory tour.

You MUST live within a 25 mile radius of Telford (Shropshire).

Our client is a recognised and successful family business who provide top-quality construction tools, site supplies and consumables across the UK. In support of their continued activity, we are seeking an experienced Interim Customer Service Manager to provide short-term leadership and stability to the customer service function during a period of transition. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the customer service team while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Contract expected to run for between 2 and 5 months, reporting to the Managing Director and with an expected need to support 5 days per week in their head office in Worcester.

 

Interim Customer Service Manager responsibilities:

-          Oversee the day-to-day operations of the customer service function.

-          Ensure timely and effective handling of customer enquiries across all channels.

-          Manage and support the resolution of escalated customer issues and complaints.

-          Lead, support and motivate a small internal customer service team.
