Manufacturing Engineer

The type of equipment is bespoke one off production where the ‘right first time’ philosophy is crucial to maintaining quality and profit.  Key Duties & Responsibilities: -          Instruct the most efficient method of manufacture of components and assemblies. -          Ensuring safety, the correct quality requirements are meet and using the companies in-house planning and route card system. -          Generate manufacturing documentation in the form of manufacturing inspection and test plans  issue route cards containing clear manufacturing instructions. -          When generating route cards accurate timings for manufacturing activities are to be included. -          To review design schemes and drawings prior to release for manufacture to ensure they contain the correct instructions for manufacture in the most economical way. -          Input, sanitize, control and update the manufacturing data in the in-house production control and MRP systems involving Microsoft excel, project, access and the in-house IBS software. -          To assist in estimates and bids to provide engineering solutions, accurate times for machining, welding, fitting and other value added manufacturing processes. -          Be able to undertake a make / buy assessment based on cost, in house capability, resource availability, schedule requirements and quality requirements. -          Provide purchasing with clear instructions of what materials and parts to buy, to be able to manufacture a component or assembly to the correct quality requirements. -          To provide LTR with finished manufacturing documentation for delivery to our client.  -          Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings providing detailed instructions for manufacture and procurement. -          Manufacturing knowledge of the some or all of the following processes of Fitting / Assembly,  Machining, Welding, Dimension inspection,  Weld Inspection -          Raise NCR’s and contribute to closing out NCR’s when activities and process do not conform using analytical methods such as the 5 Why’s, DMAIC and root cause analysis to further continuous improvement.   -          Update and follow through manufacturing drawing, documentation and quality updates. -          Advise on value added tooling giving details of design and manufacture.  -          Consider alternative modern manufacturing processes to decrease manufacturing cost and time while increasing quality levels. Plant Attendant (Energy From Waste)

Title: Plant Attendant Location: Wolverhampton   Salary: £26,901.20 p/a    Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Plant Attendant to work at our client’s site in Wolverhampton, to maintenance the cleanliness and efficient running of the boilers and associated plant on site, including attending to all incoming/outgoing vehicles. Duties & Responsibilities: Loading of collected bottom ash, fly ash, ash discharge and incinerated tins from the plant for contractors to remove. Cleaning of ash residue left under ash conveyer belts and other subsequent areas. Driving the Front Loading Shovel (FLS) to remove waste build up and keeping the Tipping Hall doors free of waste. Effectively monitor and remove blockages in the Tipping Hall, tables and conveyer belts from the disposal of waste as well as other areas that may become blocked. Driving the Fork Lift Truck (FLT) for the removal and fitting of Big Bags from their stillage. Change and removal of Urea bags, and Active Carbon Bags on an incoming and outgoing basis. Supervise the loading and unloading of all waste/chemical deliveries. Ensuring the cleanliness of the plant in relation to; floors, landings, boiler floor area, residue belts, tipping hall doors and other areas (list is not exhaustive). Monitor and through safe working practices prevent spillages. Fulfil the role of Plant Operator if/when necessary. This includes (and is not limited to) operating the overhead crane for the systematic removal of waste, accessing various parts of the plant (at height and ground level) to check instruments and gages. Health & Safety: Demonstrate safe working practices in line with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and procedures. Active involvement in fire drills and evacuation exercises. Reporting to the relevant levels of management any contravention of statutory and companies Safe working practices. This includes reporting accidents and incidents. As a minimum requirement to work towards acting as Acceptor within the Company’s Permit to Work (PTW) system. Build and maintain strong working relationships with all departments. Plant Operator – Energy from Waste Location: Wolverhampton Salary: £31,384.73 p/a Shift Pattern: 2-day shifts, 2-night shifts, 4 rest days, etc. (each shift is 12 hours long) Overview: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Operator to work for our client at their facility in Wolverhampton, the position will be control and monitor operations of the boilers and turbine to ensure the optimum generation of steam. Position in organisation:  To report to the Shift Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader Operational Duties & Responsibilities:      Report and monitor all functions associated with the operation of the plant turbine, boilers, and coordination of incoming and outgoing waste. To maintain a steady control of the above by measuring temperature flow, pressure readings from the turbine/boiler, control systems and gauges.  Accurately report readings and log daily operations in the shift log for continued monitoring and shift changeovers.  Effectively react to planned and unplanned (i.e. emergency) repairs, blockages and changes in the plant central systems.  Promptly react to system alarms/protocols to secure areas of the plant if/as required.  Monitoring all areas of the plant from the control room. This includes, operating the overhead crane for the systematic removal of waste, and accessing all areas of the plant (from height to ground levels) to check instruments, gauges, and to take readings and take actions as required.  Fulfil the role of Plant Attendant if/when required. This includes, (and is not limited to) the loading and unloading of vehicles, use of the Fork Lift Truck (FLT) for the fitting and removal of Big Bags.  Ensure plant cleaning schedules are fulfilled to a satisfactory standard.  Working at height and in confined spaces.  Health & Safety Duties: Maintain a high standard of housekeeping on the plant at all times.  Demonstrate safe working practices in line with the Company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures.  Active involvement in fire drills and evacuation exercises. Plant Manager

Role: Plant Manager Location: Rotherham Competitive Salary & Benefits Package Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Plant Manager for a renewable facility in Rotherham, the position will be overseeing all commercial and technical activities on the plant and manage the day to day running activities of the facility, this would suit someone who has been previously working within renewable sector in particular biomass. The Role: The Plant Manager / General Manager will oversee the commercial and technical performance of their Power Plant facility on behalf of its owner. In this role, the Plant Manager / General Manager will ensure that key contracts such as the Fuel Supply Agreement, O&M Contract, Power Purchase Agreement and other offtake arrangements are correctly administered and will liaise with all contractual counter parties in that regard.  The Plant Manager / General Manager will also act on behalf of the owner in its relations with local stakeholders and regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency and Ofgem (the plant earns income under the Renewables Obligation).  As well as these day to day activities, the General Manager can be expected to engage with the EPC Contractor on matters arising from post-commissioning engineering works and to engage in the development of capital projects aimed at enhancing the projects environmental and economic credentials (e.g. options for district heating). Tasks & Responsibilities: Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Plant facility. The Plant Manager / General Manager will work with the Manging Director to establish the employer's systems and processes which will be required to manage regulatory interfaces, O&M, fuel supply, power purchase agreement and ash disposal contracts during operation. Provide leadership in safety throughout the company's business, supporting the O&M Contractor, Fuel Supplier and other site-based Contractors to establish industry leading safe systems of work and safety culture through commissioning and into operations and then to constantly improve on these through the operational phase of the project. Working with the Managing Director, discharge of the employer's accountabilities under the main plant contracts (including the O&M Contract, the Fuel Supply Agreement and the Ash Removal Contract), the Grid Connection Agreement and the Permits and co-ordinate the activities of the O&M Contractor, the Fuel Supplier and TBPP's other main Contractors. Encourage, monitor and support performance initiatives by the O&M Contractor and ensure its compliance with the O&M Contract and continuous improvement. Establish and manage relationships with TBPP's other key stakeholders including OFGEM, the Environment Agency, Northern Power Grid, Insurers and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.  Where relevant, support the O&M Contractor in establishing and managing their relationship with these same key stakeholders. Ensure that an on-site fuel testing laboratory (to be operated by others) works safely, accurately and to internationally recognised standards. Business Development Manager – Environmental Services France Competitive Salary Overview: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to work for client who is a leader across the environmental sector. This role is involved in managing a commercial function on a national basis and there is flexibility with that person’s location. Duties: Determine, follow, close and account manage the opportunity and develop the appropriate method to achieve a significant position in the defined industry sector(s) Further define the companies product or service offering that best satisfies the needs in terms of quality, price and delivery within the agreed sector(s).
