Dyno Technician - Basildon - 56363 - £29.36/hr - Inside IR35

As a Dyno Technician, you'll play an integral role in supporting the development of advanced technologies while working in a highly collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
What You Will Do:
- Ensure Dyno engines are equipped with the correct hardware and controls, keeping them updated and operational across multiple test rooms.
- Coordinate with various teams to validate Bill of Materials (BOMs) for Dyno and rig kits, ensuring timely delivery to support testing needs.
- Manage critical parts, equipment, and instrumentation to support Dyno homologation testing, including emissions certification and power testing.
- Oversee administrative tasks such as documentation of engines, spare parts, and shipping requirements, ensuring smooth testing operations at the Dunton site and beyond.
- Collaborate with engineers to document and debug critical Dyno systems, including cooling circuits and wiring looms.
- Plan and manage catalyst ageing programmes to ensure availability of correctly aged catalysts for testing, while maintaining detailed storage and usage records.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong experience in Dyno testing and powertrain calibration activities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage parts, documentation, and forward planning.
- Familiarity with calibration tools and willingness to learn new systems such as Team Centre.
- A background in engineering or a related discipline, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
