Human Factors Researcher - 36052374 - £27.21/hr (Umbrella Rate)

What You Will Do:
- Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, literature reviews, and field observations to gain deep insights into user behaviours and needs.
- Analyse research data to identify patterns and propose solutions that enhance user experience and usability.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to integrate human factors principles into the development of user interface systems.
- Create and refine interface concepts that align with interaction guidelines and prioritise a human-centred approach.
- Evaluate prototypes and provide actionable feedback to improve usability and user satisfaction.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
What You Will Bring:
- A Bachelor's or Postgraduate Degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, User Experience, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
- Ideally, 2-3 years of experience in human factors research or a related role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in research methodologies, with familiarity in tools like SPSS, R, or NVivo.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A strong knowledge of human-machine interface developments and a passion for creating seamless, frictionless user journeys.
