Business Development Consultant - Services (Banking and Payments)
Our client is an established, multi-million £ advanced engineering and services Group that delivers a range of complex systems, solutions, products and technical services to the Banking and Payments sectors. To support further growth, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant with a proven track record of selling consulting (professional services) within the UK. This is a full-time permanent role focused on developing and winning new business primarily based in London/SE with regional travel when required.
Working from a 'local' hybrid basis or the offices directly in London, the Business Development Consultant professional should have a proven success in direct sales within the Banking and Payments UK sectors and has been involved in putting together complex services/solutions for clients alongside winning new business opportunities.
We are looking for someone who understands digital/technology services, and who comes from a background in consultancy (professional services). This role will be joining an existing multi-million business and the role will be supported with marketing campaigns and inside sales assistance arranging meetings.
Success will be well compensated, and you will have full autonomy to shape and develop the role alongside an established and supportive team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for selling and winning new high value client logos within the banking and payments sector
- Responsible for the sales strategy and closure plans for new client opportunities
- Drives the expansion of existing clients with up selling and cross selling
- Achieves personal sales targets working collaboratively with wider consultancy team
- Builds long lasting relationships as trusted advisor across their clients up to C level
- Works in collaboration across functions to develop service offering value propositions
- Where appropriate, liaises with other regions to grow portfolio presence in UK
This is a professional market engagement focused role working within a continual growth environment and fully supported by large teams and proven expertise. Candidates will need to have a strong understanding of the sales cycle.
