Approved Electrician

As an Appproved Electrician, you will establish and adjust work schedules to meet production timetables and off-hours testing and repairs.

In your first few weeks in this Electrical role, you can expect to:

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install electrical systems and related equipment
• Use tools like an infrared camera, ultrasonic probe, speciality meters, etc
• Perform preventative maintenance in industrial, commercial, and health care facilities
• TEGG monitoring of high, medium, and low voltage systems, mechanical pipework, and compressed air systems
• Carry out test and inspection of electrical distribution in an energised live environment - ensuring business continuity and no disruptive downtime of critical systems

To apply for this Electrical Technician role, you will need a Level 3 Electrical qualification or completion of an apprenticeship program in Electrical industry. You will also require the following:

• 2391 Test & Inspection certificate
• Proven experience as an electrician
• Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
