Sales Office Manager

Based on their manufacturing site and head office in Poole, our firmly established SME Client is seeking an experienced Sales Office Manager to support their continued business sales management activity.

Reporting to the Managing Director and managing a team of 2 internal Sales Administrators, as their UK and global sales continue to grow for their globally positioned, designed, manufactured and distributed advanced professional audio and acoustic products, the Sales Office Manager will be responsible for:

-    Managing the internal sales process in support of company sales targets and goals.

-    Continue to develop a high performing sales team through leadership, leading by example, achieving overall objectives.

-    Work closely with and support the externally placed international sales team members.

-    Manage performance of the sales team to ensure consistency across all sales activities and contribute to the overall business objectives.

-    Ensure that the company's processes and procedures are always followed.

-    Achieve the above through inspirational leadership, mentoring and coaching.

-    Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels.

-    Work alongside key accounts to support service and commercial excellence as required.

-    Manage the sales reporting system to help the Senior Management Team gain clarity and insight into the on-going performance of the sales function.

-    Work with the board of directors to develop the sales strategy for the company.

Cross-functional responsibilities:

-    To be a key member of the Management Team

-    Work with the Operations and delivery teams effectively to build a robust collaborative culture.

-    Having the desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results.

-    Having the ability to identify and solve customer issues on a timely and accurate manner.

-    Being able to analyse and use pipeline and lead data, working alongside the external sales teams providing key business insights.

-    Report on key KPIs relating to sales team performance as well as leads and opportunities in order to support successful sales and commercial activity delivery.

Experience and qualifications:

-    Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams. 

-    Proven experience in a mid to senior sales management role and have excellent customer service skills.

-    Outstanding persuasion, presentation, and negotiation skills.

-    Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and work with people at all levels.

-    Ability to show customers and other client stakeholders the company's value proposition.

-    An understanding of professional audio systems would be beneficial, but not necessarily essential. Ideally, candidates should be from a manufacturing environment.
