Project Engineer

Project Engineer- Bridgnorth

Our Client is a leading Engineering company at the global forefront of castings and precision machining development and innovation now partnering with a Multinational Civil Engineering Chinese Company.

As a Project Engineer you will be responsible to:

  • Lead internal projects to meet customer and company objectives
  • Develop and document procedures and standards
  • Support and preparation in the development of training materials of in house training of visiting customers
  • Manage internal projects/product through the Company's New Product Introduction (NPI) process
  • Communicate project/product progress and issues to internal key stakeholders, ensuring that any issues, constraints or divergence from the project plan are highlighted
  • Communicate with the Prototype and Operations Teams to achieve satisfactory delivery of projects
  • Cost analyse, including allocating costs to engineering, tooling and manufacturing, as required
  • Create and maintain a 'knowledge base' for future projects

As a Project Engineer you will be/have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbally & written
  • Willingness to continually develop their engineering skillset
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to rapidly understand the broader business context is critical
  • Organisational skills are essential, as is attention to detail
  • Must be able to manage time efficiently
  • Must be able to work alone or as part of a team
  • Well presented, with professional mannerisms befitting of the Grainger & Worrall organisation that will be an ambassador of the Company brand to their Chinese customers during their visits to the United Kingdom
  • Experience of using ISO Quality Standards
  • A recognised formal engineering qualification or demonstrable significant experience in relevant fields.
  • Proactive approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of engineering, tooling, casting, and machining is desirable
