Mechanical Fitter

Due to expansion, a Mechanical Fitter is required for a long-standing manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. This Wolverhampton-based Mechanical Fitter role comes with an excellent annual salary up to £33,000 per annum and benefits package.

The hiring manager is looking for someone who has previous experience working from Engineering drawings and schematics, as well as having experience with Pneumatics and/or hydraulics.

We are looking for someone that has experience in one of the following:

• Commercial bodybuilding
• HGV fitting/mechanics
• Coachbuilding
• Trailer assembly or trailer manufacturing

The hiring manager would prefer you to have your own tools, but any additional tools required to carry out the work will be provided on site

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will work day shifts Monday to Thursday, early finish Friday (39 hours per week).

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be required to:

• Assemble waste handling machinery for mounting to commercial vehicles
• Assemble and fit hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems to equipment and vehicles
• Use various hand and power tools including torque wrenches, spanners and ratchets
• Read and understand engineer drawings
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations while working alongside contractor and suppliers.
