After a year’s hiatus, the MIDLANDS AEROSPACE ALLIANCEblack-tie dinner was back in full force on Thursday, and our very own Jason Cole (Sales Director) and Matthew Heath (Associate Director) were lucky enough to attend!
The event held at the Grand Hotel, Birmingham and chaired by Andrew Mair, saw members of the aerospace and defence industry gather for an evening in the company of colleagues and partners. With leading companies well represented it proved an opportunity not to be missed.
The 180+ Guests that attended were treated to a charity raffle, dinner, speeches and of course a chance to do some drumming!
The MAA even arranged for Bridget Phillipson MP, Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury to be the guest speaker. Bridget shared her perspective on the role of manufacturing in the economy and investment in strategic industries like aerospace.
The charity raffle in aid of The Air Ambulance Service proved a great success too, with prizes including hotel vouchers, golf days, kindles and lego!
Jonathan Lee Recruitment was only to happy to donate a Hotel Chocolat – gourmet chocolate gift box prize to the raffle too!
Jason Cole commented ‘Thanks to the MAA for putting such a fantastic event together once again, it was brilliant to raise over £2000 for the Air Ambulance Service and renew acquaintances with old and new friends in the industry, especially after such a long time apart. Here’s to the next one!’
