You may have heard the phrase ‘all round the Wrekin’. Well, Peter Heap, Principal Recruitment Consultant at Jonathan Lee Recruitment, is taking things further and going up and down the Wrekin instead!
During 2024, Pete will go up (and down!) the 1334 ft Wrekin Hill in Shropshire, raising money for the Veterans’ Cafe – Telford Mind along the way.
The Veterans Cafe and Wellbeing Hub offers a space for Military Veterans to meet and talk to like-minded people with similar day-to-day issues. The Cafe aims to bring the Veteran community together and allow veterans, of all ages, to get support where needed.
Pete comments ”The Veterans Wellbeing Hub is a fantastic service offered by Telford Mind and as a Veteran myself with 20 years of Service, it’s great that you can go to a place and talk to someone that just knows and understands, It’s a great place to get support, advice or to find someone to listen.
My wife, Louise, is the CEO of Telford Mind and her fantastic operations team has done a great job of setting this Veterans’ Hub up in the local area. It has been a real success.”
