In June 2020, when NP Aerospace sought a trusted recruitment partner to fulfil key supplier roles for contract positions, the choice was clear: Jonathan Lee Recruitment. The seamless collaboration between the two entities paved the way for success.
In the dynamic landscape of defence contracting, NP Aerospace faced a critical challenge in 2022: the urgent need to bolster its workforce amidst escalating demands driven by key contracts and global events, notably for the conflict in Ukraine.
Since then, Jonathan Lee Recruitment has played a pivotal role in sourcing and securing hundreds of skilled professionals across various disciplines, from Maintenance Engineers to Project Managers, and Process Operators to Vehicle Technicians. We are also now collaborating to enhance our support to the defence community through the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Solution
Grant Nisbet, Jonathan Lee Director speaks of his pride in his contracts recruitment team, particularly Matt Johnson and Gareth Simpson in the key roles they continue to play in delivering on this project:
‘’Since 2020 we have since placed on a number of roles from Process Operator, Military Vehicle Fitter, Electrical Fitter, Project Manager, ILS (Supportability Engineer), Lead Engineer, Maintenance Engineer and Production Supervisor.
In early 2022 it was clear that volume was about to ramp up significantly with the crucial Ukraine contracts and it was here that the partnership flourished.
Interview and induction processes were agreed with NP and Matt and Gareth were afforded site access to be able to undertake on-site interviews in order to hasten the process for getting contractors in post. Being present on site has not only helped with the initial introductory meetings but has meant that we are accessible for managers and contractors alike on an ongoing basis – ensuring we can maintain a flexible approach to requirements as they arise.
On the two core projects (Helmets and Plates) we have since made in excess of 250 placements and at times had over 85 contractors on assignment. Interviews continue as new project team requirements emerge and we welcome talks with interested candidates looking to learn more.
It takes trust and open communication channels to build large operational teams at speed and we thank NP for this, appreciating fully their willingness to embrace us to enable a true partnership to form.''
The Results
