On Friday, 18th October 2024, the Jonathan Lee Recruitment team once again joined forces for Wear It Pink day, showing their support for Breast Cancer Now by dressing up, baking, and raising vital funds for breast cancer research. The event, held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, saw our office come alive with a splash of pink in every shade, as our team proudly contributed to this important cause.
Our team of superstars pulled out all the stops, with homemade and shop-bought treats filling the office. Our star baker of the day was Athina Morse, who created a stunning cake, complete with special Wear It Pink day Jonathan Lee Recruitment and Breast Cancer Now branding and even a QR code to our JustGiving page!
Alongside the delicious cakes, we held a sweepstake with some friendly competition to boost our fundraising efforts. Senior Recruitment Consultant Sarah Bridges won the sweepstake with her ‘lucky number 22’.
Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of our team, we raised over £340 for Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s leading breast cancer charity. This contribution supports the charity’s ongoing mission to fund life-saving research and provide essential support to those affected by breast cancer.
Why We Wear It Pink
Amidst the fun, we never lose sight of the reason behind our efforts. Breast cancer continues to devastate lives, with too many families affected by its impact. Wear It Pink day, now in its 23rd year, is one of the UK’s largest fundraising events, uniting communities, schools, and workplaces in the fight against breast cancer. Together, we can help fund breakthroughs in research and ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone.
