James has worked within the automotive and off highway division since joining the business in November 2013.

Engine Test Technician Peterborough Up to £15.50 per hour LTD Powertrain - Diesel Engines A number of opportunities have become available for Engine Build/Engine Test Technician's to join one of the world's leading manufacturer of off-highway machinery and diesel/natural gas engines. We are currently seeking to recruit a number of engine test technicians for our client to support continued growth and market leadership in compact diesel engines. Interviews are taking place weekly for suitable candidates. The successful Engine Test Technician will carry out research & development work on either current or new engines. The ability to work to engineer's instructions, carry out a range of test work, including fitting prototype parts to an engine and/or record and produce quality data is fundamental. Industry: Off Highway We currently have a new and exciting opportunity for a Controls and Systems Integration Engineer to support the development of new control approaches and systems integration processes within our clients Energy and Transportation Research team. This innovative team is responsible for developing novel engineering solutions and processes working collaboratively with European Universities, internal and industrial partners as well as a US based sister team. The team leads the powertrain research strategy and delivery within Europe, this includes global research responsibility for electrification and hybridisation systems integration and control. You will join a team responsible for development and implementation of electrical and electronic control systems for diesel engines developed in the UK. This role is the primary technical support for the Electronic system. It entails proactively working with other Electronics team members and with development partners to: Provide technical support to queries related to pinouts, schematic questions, software functionality support Investigate /Analyse / troubleshoot any reported quality issues. Raise and propose changes or improvements to components/system or processes. Create or modify software flashfiles based on approved requests and guidance from the Technical Lead.
