What You Will Do:

• Ensure the achievement of equipment capability targets, including efficiency and reliability metrics.

• Drive lean manufacturing principles and ensure processes align with operational excellence standards.

What You Will Bring:

• A solid understanding of NEBOSH and Construction Design Management (CDM) Regulations.

• Proven experience in project and budgetary management within a manufacturing environment.

• A track record of delivering facilities projects and managing multiple suppliers.

Business Development Manager - Defence

Our client is globally established supplier of defence equipment and services. Primarily based in the US and Middle East, working from a remote home working basis and ideally positioned to the South of the UK, this new role of Business Development Manager will report directly to the GM and is to grow new sales primarily in the UK across the defence sector.

As Business Development Manager, you will be required to identify and deliver new customers on a proactive approach along with the direct management of existing customers. Supporting existing and future B2B and B2C relationship growth, the role will focus on the defence and security sectors and working alongside the internationally based GM and internal teams, the Business Development Manager will target end-users, OEMs, system integrators, indirect sales channel partners, architects and engineers, specifying security consultants and group shared services.

As the subject matter expert for the UK, you will develop and maintain close customer contact and engagement with key end-users, OEMs, system integrators, indirect sales channel partners and centres of influence within the territory.

Role duties include:

-    Build a 'go to market' business plan that identifies business development and account management goals. From this, target/identify "operational and product gaps" where our client can apply their 'R&D and manufacturing services' within the defence/security supply chain working with OEMs and tier 1 / 2 suppliers, government agencies, law enforcement, universities and schools.

-    Understand our clients' products, capabilities & services and effectively communicate all offerings to the customer base and channel partners in the territory.

-    Be responsible for the achievement of quarterly and annual territory sales targets.

-    Prepare and submit reports to the GM to include weekly/monthly activity reports that provides information on all account activities within the territory.

-    Proactively develop leads from attendance/research at trade and professional organisation, shows and events.

-    Review all major deliverables (i.e. strategic brief, function spec, tech spec, etc...) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.

-    Quote prices, prepare proposals and provide information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates - working closely alongside the internal engineering and operational teams.

-    Complete business development activities across the UK. As a minimum, spend one week a month in the territory visiting end-users, customers and channel partners in the territory. All visits and appointments to be coordinated in advance.

-    Continually extract end-user operational requirements across the UK as well as to feedback on market opportunities and competitor activity.

-    Identify, qualify, recruit, train and launch indirect sales channel partners such as distributors and resellers (B2B), where possible.

-    Attend relevant tradeshows and events in the UK to engage and promote.

-    Meet with influencers, specifiers, consultants and signatories, i.e., engineers, in the territory who are engaged with relating projects.

-    Monitor relevant state and territory bid RFQ sites for potential leads and opportunities.

Management of Channel Partners:

-    Develop, maintain and share customer prospect call lists based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads with channel partners and conduct follow-up with them to ensure prospects are being called.

-    Be responsible for monitoring channel partner monthly sales forecasts and reports and working with channel partners to assist them in closing sales.

-    Conduct two product training events per quarter with the channel partners in the territory.

-    Provide regular two-way communication between customers, channel partners, and the company to provide strong team representation and set proper expectations 

Qualifications:

-    Must have thorough knowledge of the UK defence/security industry.

-    Must have experience in selling defence/security products and/or systems to one or more of the following markets: non-defence federal agencies, law enforcement, military, public safety, R&D / product development (B2G).

-    Know how to conduct online searches and source relating sector/government RFP & RFQs and enquiries.

-    Have experience in working with centres of influence in the defence/security industry to develop requirements.

You should:

-    Be a UK citizen capable of holding security clearance.

-    Have a BSc/BA degree as a minimum. Have Project Management exposure/certification.

-    Have a minimum of two years of success in meeting direct sales quotas of £750K or more for physical defence/security products.

-    Know how to sell service and maintenance agreements.

-    Be able to prepare sales plans and meet the objectives of the plans on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. 

-    Have excellent analytical skills and be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to prepare high quality annual sales forecast and sales plan.

-    Require little or no supervision. Be a self-starter and well organised and a strong communicator.

-    Be disciplined, self-directed team player who sets the example and possesses high personal and professional ethics as well as excellent leadership skills.

-    Be able to see big picture and develop solid solutions.

-    Must know how to create sales presentations using PowerPoint and is able to use other Office tools.

-    Be able to perform and produce results in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Have you previously worked within the FMCG sector (Food Manufacturing, Packaging, Print, Plastics or Pharmaceutical) and do you have a minimum of 3 years experience in one of these industries?!

We are looking for 3 Machine Setter Operators to join an FMCG manufacturing business in Telford (Shropshire), these positions are all permanent positions from day 1, the starting salary is just over £35,000 per annum with pay increases to happen once you are fully trained.

The hiring manager is looking for people who live within a 25 mile radius of Telford (Shropshire).

You will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour days and nights shifts) and the working hours are 6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am.

The on boarding process would involve you completing an on-line SHL assessment, as well as being invited to the factory for an on site interview and a full factory tour.

Overview:

  • We are recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to work for our clint on their Advanced Metering Infrastructure projects on the island of Jersey.
  • This is a really exciting role that turn AMI system design into something that works safely, consistently, and at scale in the real world.
  • As the AMI Project Engineer – Field Installation Specialist, you will act as the critical link between system designers, business processes, vendors, and the people installing and commissioning equipment in live customer environments.
  • The role will be heavily involved in translating technical designs and vendor documentation into clear, practical installation standards and processes that field teams can rely on, while also being the trusted technical escalation point when reality doesn’t follow the plan.
  • Your work ensures that AMI deployment is not just technically correct, but installable, repeatable, safe, and supportable, and that learning from the field continuously improves system configuration, training, and future rollout activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and maintain AMI installation standards, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions for: Single-phase, Three-phase, CT and VT metering installations.
  • Create and maintain clear, field-ready installation and commissioning documentation aligned to business processes and AMI system workflows.
  • Cover end-to-end activities including installation, replacement, commissioning, and acceptance.
  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex, non-standard, or high-risk field issue, and ensure issues are resolved safely, efficiently, and with lessons captured not just patched
  • Continuous improvement feedback loop and Capture insights from pilot and rollout activity
  • Feed learning back into system configuration, installation standards, training materials, and processes
  • Support FAT, SIT, UAT, and SAT activities: Validate installation-related scenarios, acceptance criteria, and real-world operability
  • Support the development and delivery of installer training, toolbox talks, and technical briefings
  • Work closely with Installer Team Leaders to build confidence, capability, and consistency
  • Ensure installation methods, tooling, and procedures meet internal safety standards and regulatory requirements and Identify unsafe practices early and drive corrective action
  • Work closely with Metering Engineers, AMI Engineers, Systems Administrators, and project teams and ensure physical installation, system configuration, and operational processes remain aligned

Experience, knowledge, and qualifications:

  • Strong background in electricity metering installation and commissioning
  • Experience with both single-phase and three-phase installations
  • Proven support to field teams operating in live customer environments
  • Experience supporting large-scale rollout or replacement programmes
  • Exposure to smart metering systems and commissioning processes
  • Practical understanding of CT and VT metering arrangements
  • Familiarity with utility AMI and/or MDM environments

Qualifications:

  • Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant electrical authorisations (e.g. LV authorised)
  • Full, clean driving licence

The Role:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll work on the design and integration of electrical equipment at both system and sub‑system levels. This is a highly varied position that will expose you to a wide range of vehicle technologies, communication systems, and electrical subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce electrical drawings, design specifications, technical plans and reports in line with contract requirements.
  • Design and re‑engineer components/systems for modifications, repairs and product enhancements.
  • Support system validation including creating test schedules, integration plans and technical investigation reports.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
  • Maintain current knowledge of engineering developments and apply them effectively.
  • Plan and schedule your own work to meet time/cost constraints.

  • Ensure all engineering designs meet requirements for:

About You:

You’ll be an electrically biased engineer with:

  • A Degree / HND (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong electrical design experience using CREO (Pro‑E/Pro Engineer) or NX
  • Experience designing components/systems for new and existing products
  • The ability to develop innovative engineering solutions
  • Proficiency in the use of IT, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Project
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability
  • An understanding of Def Stan 61‑5 Part 6 (12V/24V Vehicle Systems), Def Stan 59‑411 (EMC) with E3 electrical design package

Please note, that you also, MUST:

  • Be able to obtain Security Clearance
  • Have been in the UK for the last 5 years
  • Be willing to go through a DBS check, initially, followed by full SC clearance
