CNC Programmer Setter

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering company working on cutting-edge automation and precision manufacturing projects. The company is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer Setter who is passionate about precision engineering and enjoys working within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Shift Pattern:

- Monday to Friday

- 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Overtime Rates:

- Monday to Friday overtime paid at 1.3x

- Saturday & Sunday overtime paid at 1.5x

What You Will Do:

- Create and develop CNC programs to produce accurate parts efficiently

- Set and operate CNC machines for both manned and unmanned production runs

- Work with Hurco or Edgecam software (essential)

- Perform routine machine maintenance checks and complete check-sheet records

- Collaborate with engineering support and management to improve machine shop performance

- Carry out self-inspections and maintain accurate inspection records

- Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications with minimal supervision

What You Will Bring:

- HNC Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

- Proven experience in a CNC programming and setting role

- Experience using Hurco or Edgecam software

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently

Large well established manufacturer in Telford seeking Tool Maker to join their team to support production in maintaining tools, JIGs and Die's. Predominantly manual machining, working on a range of tool sizes with some large equipment on site this role will suit tool makers who like problem solving and working with others. Excellent salary and benefits available working a favourable shift with no weekends or nights. 

Shift: double days / 37.5 hours per week

Location: Telford

As Tool Maker you will:

  • Maintain and prepare existing tooling to ensure optimal performance and production readiness.
  • Identify and resolve tooling issues effectively, implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on production tooling, adhering to strict schedules and standards.
  • Fabricate, fit, and assemble parts using a variety of equipment such as milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders.
  • Verify and test tools for proper operation, ensuring they meet exact specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to gather feedback and continuously improve tooling processes.

What You Will Bring:

  • Level 3 qualified in mechanical or relevant area
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with Tool room equipment, including overhead cranes and inspection tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • A proven track record in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating your ability to deliver results.

You will have current or recent experience as tool repair technician, tooling engineer, manual machinist or jig, tool and die maintainer

As a Machine Technician, you will set, calibrate and operate precision production equipment.

 

Machine Technician Responsibilities

-          Working to engineering drawings and production documents.

-          Use precision measurement equipment to set equipment accurately.

-          Set, calibrate and operate precision measurement equipment.

-          Calculate lengths and quantities of materials required for production using Excel and mental arithmetic.

-          Support other production activities when required.

 

Machine Technician Requirements

-      Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment.

-      Experienced in operating & setting production machinery

-      Apprentice trained and entry level candidates will be considered.

-      Experience working with metals would be beneficial.

-      Must be able to work to engineering drawings and production documents.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially driven individual to join a growing business within the Agri-Tech sector as an Agricultural Sales Executive.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in farming, agriculture, livestock, or rural industries who is looking to combine their agricultural knowledge with a rewarding career in sales.

You’ll be speaking directly with farmers and agricultural businesses across the UK, helping them identify solutions that improve efficiency, save time, and support day-to-day farm management. This is a consultative sales role where relationship building, communication skills, and industry understanding are key.

Importantly, this is not a cold-calling role. All outreach is made to warm leads and existing enquiries, meaning you’ll be speaking with customers who already have an interest in the product or service. The role is highly phone-based, however, and you should be comfortable making up to 80 outbound calls per day in a fast-paced sales environment.

The salary on offer ranges from £26,000 to £32,000 depending on experience, with the higher end aimed at candidates who can demonstrate both strong sales capability and solid agricultural or farming experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Contacting and engaging with warm leads and agricultural businesses across the UK
  • Managing a high-volume sales pipeline with up to 80 outbound calls per day
  • Converting inbound and outbound enquiries into new customers
  • Delivering a consultative sales approach and identifying customer needs
  • Building strong long-term relationships with customers within the farming sector
  • Achieving sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals
  • Supporting customer onboarding and product adoption

About You

  • Previous experience within farming, agriculture, livestock, dairy, beef, sheep, or rural sectors is ESSENTIAL

  • Comfortable working in a high-volume outbound calling environment
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
  • Commercially aware and motivated by targets and earning potential
  • Passionate about the agricultural industry and supporting farmers
  • Comfortable using technology and CRM systems
  • Self-motivated, organised, and proactive in your approach
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

What you'll be leading:

  • Full operational responsibility for a complex melting department, including cupola and electric furnace operations

  • Daily planning and execution of furnace charging, melt scheduling, and resource deployment aligned to production demand
  • Quality assurance across all melts, ensuring grade compliance, process consistency, and release authorisation against technical parameters

  • Departmental cost control, including labour efficiency, overtime management, yield optimisation, and waste reduction

What we're looking for:

You'll likely come from a foundry, castings, metals, steel, iron, or heavy process manufacturing environment and bring:

  • Proven leadership experience within melting, metallurgical, or foundry operations
  • Strong knowledge of cupola and/or electric furnace processes
  • A deep understanding of melt chemistry, process control, and metallurgical quality standards
  • Experience using process data, thermal analysis, and operational metrics to drive decisions
  • A track record of improving productivity, reducing waste, and delivering measurable cost savings
  • Natural leadership capability, able to coach teams, challenge standards, and build accountability
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance within heavy industry
