A large food manufacturer are seeking a hands on Engineering Team Leader, where you'll lead a skilled team, driving operational excellence and supporting Engineers on routine & reactive maintenance. Your will be an experienced qualified Engineer with a background of leading a Engineering team, confident in mechanical or electrical maintenance within a fast paced manufacturing environment. 

Salary £45,000 to £55,000 plus Benefits 

Monday to Friday - Days 

What You Will Do:

- Support the Engineering Manager and take full managerial responsibility during their absence.

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers and apprentices to achieve their full potential.

- Develop and maintain an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system to ensure operational efficiency.

- Respond swiftly to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimise downtime.

- Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Participate in mechanical and electrical projects, including machine installations, panel upgrades, and effluent plant operations.

 

What You Will Bring:

- An Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering and at least 4 years of engineering experience.

- Proven skills in electrical systems, welding/fabrication, and mechanical fitting.

- Supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to mentor engineers and apprentices.

- Strong fault-finding skills and familiarity with process machinery.

- Initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER REQUIRED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!!

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer seeking a new job opportunity in Telford, are you happy working a 4 on 4 off shift system and do you have previous experience in the food manufacturing, food packaging, packaging or FMCG industry?!

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a long-standing food manufacturing business in Telford (Shropshire), the annual salary for this is just under £51,000 per annum, with regular overtime opportunities available and paid at T1/2.

The hiring manager is looking for someone who has previous experience in the food manufacturing, food packaging, packaging, pharmaceutical or FMCG industry.

This will be a 2 stage interview process, with the first stage interview being a numeracy and literacy assessment that will take place on site.

Anyone who has previously worked as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Shift Engineer or Site Engineer would be well received.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical leadership on shift, supporting operations colleagues in a professional and collaborative manner.
  • React to breakdowns and manage changeovers efficiently, working on a 4-on-4-off days and nights schedule.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support development engineers with new product activities.
  • Take ownership of your work, ensuring deadlines are met while collaborating with internal stakeholders and contractors.
  • Apply your expertise to maintain and improve bespoke, high-performance manufacturing systems.

What You Will Bring:

  • Time-served mechanical competence with a systems and control bias.
  • Experience in PLC programming and fault diagnosis.
  • Understanding of electrical control wiring diagrams.
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach, thriving under pressure and embracing teamwork.
  • Ideally, experience within the food or processing industry, though this is not essential.

In support of their continued development of existing and future aerospace, energy and medical customers, working from a remote home basis in the UK, this senior level position of (Business Development Director) European Market Development Director is focused on customer and market engagement along with business growth, primarily targeting the OE, Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels.

The role of (Business Development Director) European Market Development Director includes:

  • Supporting our client's further development of core relationships within the UK and European aerospace, energy and medical sectors; with an emphasis on developing Rolls-Royce and Safran in particular.
  • Managing and further developing existing relationships with clients in the UK and Europe which include Honeywell, Parker and Collins, as well as others in IGT etc.
  • Supporting the introduction and growth of our clients' capabilities into other aerospace, energy and medical programmes.
  • Understand key market trends & programmes in the UK and European aerospace/energy/medical sectors and support successful company positioning.

Candidates should have a suitable technical level (ideally to degree level), and proven senior level commercial strength which supports direct and successful customer engagement, discussion and negotiation.

This is a permanent role and has a core strategic focus working closely with this firmly established and qualified supplier.
