What You Will Do:
- Develop and maintain Verification & Validation plans for battery control software and hardware.
- Manage certification requirements, ensuring compliance with standards such as REG.100, UN38.3, and other sector-specific regulations.
- Set up and operate Model-in-the-Loop (MiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) environments, including tooling and automation.
- Design and maintain test benches, harnesses, and procedures for both automated and manual testing.
- Execute integration testing for supervisory controllers, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Cell Monitoring Units (CMUs), ensuring robust inter-system communication.
- Analyse test results, identify issues, and drive resolutions through root cause analysis and collaboration across teams.
What You Will Bring:
- A strong academic background, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or Control Engineering.
- Proven experience in developing and operating MiL/SiL/HiL testing environments.
- Expertise in creating and executing Verification & Validation test plans, with a solid understanding of the V-model for embedded control systems.
- Excellent documentation skills to support software deployment, production release, and certification processes.

QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER NEEDED IN STOURBRIDGE (WEST MIDLANDS)
Are you an experienced Quality Control Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, QA Manager or Quality Manager seeking a new job opportunity, do you have previous experience working with a foundry environment and knowledge production processes, foundry capabilities and controls for high integrity ductile iron?
We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to join a long-standing manufacturer in Stourbridge (West Midlands), typical working hours for this job will range between a 6am-7am start, with a 4pm/4.30pm finish (44 hours per week), although there does need to be some flexibility with start and finish times depending on the business needs.
An annual salary of up to £50,000 per annum is available for the right person (DOE), you will be responsible for a team of up to 8, working in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager & QHSE Manager, reporting directly into Manufacturing & Managing Directors.
This will be a 2 stage interview process, and the hiring manager is keen to start interviewing suitable candidates ASAP.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the company's efforts to maintain consistent product quality and implement robust process controls.
- Analyse performance data to identify opportunities for improvement, driving a culture of quality excellence.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a formal quality management system and ensure compliance with industry standards.

QUALITY ENGINEER NEEDED IN STOURBRIDGE (WEST MIDLANDS)
Are you an experienced and hands-on Quality Engineer looking for a new job opportunity and do you live within a 25-30 mile radius of Stourbridge (West Midlands)?!
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join a long-standing manufacturer in Stourbridge on a permanent basis, this job will be working 7am-4pm Monday to Friday (although some flexibility will be needed), and the salary is up to £45,000 per annum (DOE).
We are looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer who will be predominantly based on the shop floor, you must have experience with 8D problem solving, as well as using tools such as the 5 whys and corrective action tracking.
You MUST be IT literate and have experience with quality systems, standards, and problem-solving tools.
Previous experience within the metals, fabrication, foundry, galvanising or sheet metal industry would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
Anyone who has previously worked as a Quality Engineer, Quality Process Engineer or Process Engineer would be well received.
What You Will Do:
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) teams to identify and resolve quality issues using tools like 5 Whys, 8D, and corrective action tracking systems.
- Generate, monitor, and review quality data to identify trends and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Conduct audits across the business to ensure compliance with processes and standards.
- Manage internal and external rejects, including their disposition and communication to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, quality alerts, and reports.
- Support the development and implementation of quality system controls for process changes, suppliers, and materials.

Are you an experienced Welder Fabricator who has experience TIG welding on aluminium and stainless steel, and are you looking for a permanent job on day shifts?!
We are looking for 2 Welder Fabricators to join a sheet metal manufacturing business in Stevenage, the role is more focused on TIG Welding but the hiring manager would like someone who is also able to do some MIG welding as or when required.
The working hours are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) with overtime available and paid at T1/2, the basic salary will range between £37,500 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) (hourly rate of £18.00 - £21.50 per hour).
These are permanent contracts from day 1, and the hiring manager is keen to interview and weld test ASAP.
What You Will Do:
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on various metal components, primarily stainless steel and aluminium, using a wide range of grades and materials up to 6mm thick.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and sketches to prepare products with accuracy and precision.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures, ensuring high-quality finishes through dressing and fettling.
