We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth through pure new business development across new sectors. This is a high-impact, commercially focused position suited to someone ambitious, energetic and results-driven.

The Role

This is a 100% new business focused role.

Your primary objective will be identifying, approaching and securing new commercial opportunities. 

You will also negotiate contract renewals with existing clients and play a key role in achieving agreed strategic growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development

About You

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager / New Business Manager / Sales Manager

  • Workforce planning, deployment coordination, and resource management for field technicians
  • Ensuring effective processes, documentation, and compliance standards for technical service

  • Delivering technical training to internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Regular collaboration with senior Aftersales leadership in the UK

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical vocational training in engineering, energy technology, or similar
  • 5+ years’ experience leading field service or technical service teams
  • 5+ years’ experience in energy, oil & gas, industrial maintenance, or related heavy industry
  • Experience working with industrial customer environments (e.g., power plants, refineries)
  • Strong understanding of HSE, ATEX, and industrial maintenance standards
  • Hands-on experience with work permit systems, risk assessments, and international workforce deployment
  • Strong leadership presence and experience delivering technical training
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Germany and Europe
  • Fluency in German and English

We are seeking an Electronic Control Systems Engineer to join a leading Agri-Tech business in Shropshire, this is working a fixed day shift pattern (37 hours per week) and the annual salary is up to £60,000 per annum (DOE), the hiring manager is looking for someone who will be based in the office 5 days per week, there is an opportunity to work from home 1 day per week every 2 weeks, and a relocation package can be offered for someone who lives more than 2 hours away from Shropshire and is prepared to move to the area.

What You Will Do:

  • Take ownership of the electronic control system development for advanced agricultural tractors.
  • Specify electronic components such as ECUs and sensors, ensuring they meet technical requirements.
  • Develop and prototype software to control tractor systems.
  • Design and manage HIL/SIL rigs for testing and validation.
  • Debug, commission, and perform regression testing on prototype tractors.
  • Integrate electrical and electronic systems into the overall vehicle design.
  • Manage suppliers to achieve technical goals and oversee vehicle software development.
  • Ensure designs meet global standards, cost, timing, and quality requirements.

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 year's experience within a similar role
  • Proven experience in software development, from requirements to physical validation.
  • Expertise in tools like Vector CANalyzer, Parker IQAN, Matlab/Simulink, and Bosch BODAS.
  • Knowledge of CANbus, ISObus, and electronic control systems for off-highway or agricultural vehicles.
  • Experience with electrification, hybrid powertrains, and whole vehicle system integration.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
