Lead Shipping Coordinator (Shipping & Receiving / Logistics)

About the Role

A growing manufacturing business is looking for a Lead Shipping Coordinator to take ownership of shipping, dispatch, and logistics operations in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step into a lead role, with real responsibility for customer deliveries, import/export coordination, and team support, while benefiting from a structured schedule and an early Friday finish.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all shipping, dispatch, and receiving activities
  • Plan and coordinate customer shipments to meet delivery schedules
  • Ensure all shipping documentation, labels, and ASN (Advance Shipping Notifications) are accurate and compliant
  • Manage SAP / ERP systems for shipping and inventory movements
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to book and track shipments
  • Support goods-in operations, including booking stock and verifying deliveries
  • Oversee import/export processes, ensuring compliance with UK customs and HMRC regulations
  • Prepare and validate customs and export documentation
  • Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies and logistics issues
  • Monitor KPIs, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
  • Support and guide the shipping & receiving team
  • Promote health & safety standards across the department

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in a shipping, logistics, or dispatch coordination role
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Understanding of UK and international shipping, import/export, and customs procedures
  • Background in manufacturing or production environments
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, suppliers, and internal teams

Desirable:

Have you previously worked within the FMCG sector (Food Manufacturing, Packaging, Print, Plastics or Pharmaceutical) and do you have a minimum of 3 years experience in one of these industries?!

We are looking for 4 Machine Setter Operators to join an FMCG manufacturing business in Telford (Shropshire), these positions are all permanent positions from day 1, and the starting salary will range between £35,000 - £36,500 per annum depending on the shift pattern they you join.

The hiring manager is looking for people who live within a 25 mile radius of Telford (Shropshire).

You will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour days and nights shifts) and the working hours are 6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am.

The on boarding process would involve you completing an on-line SHL assessment, as well as being invited to the factory for an on site interview and a full factory tour, the company are looking to do an interview day on Friday 1st May 2026.

These roles would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked as a Manufacturing Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Machine Setter Operator, Process Operator, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter or Skilled Machinist within an FMCG manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Operate high-speed machinery with precision and efficiency, ensuring seamless production runs.

A well-established manufacturing business is looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations, VAT reporting, and financial data preparation.

This is a standalone, site-based finance role — ideal for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in accounts or finance who enjoys being hands-on across accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, VAT, and reporting.

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our clients growing commercial team supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction projects.

This role will see you manage the full commercial lifecycle of projects, from tender support through to final account settlement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of projects from tender stage through to final account settlement
  • Monitor project programmes to identify delays and ensure entitlement to time and contractual protections

  • Ensure subcontracts are correctly let and commercially controlled
  • Manage subcontractor accounts including measurement cycles, certificates, and accruals
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and legislative requirements
  • Ensure commercial activities align with the overall commercial strategy
  • Maintain accurate project records, WBS structures, and documentation

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within a main contractor or project delivery environment
  • HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
  • Strong commercial understanding of JCT, NEC, or IChemE contracts

  • Proven experience with:
