Senior Sales Engineer (Fixturing / Tooling / Protoypes)
Working on behalf of an established engineering and manufacturing Group, we are seeking a NEW Senior Sales Engineer to develop and deliver new sales for their tooling and fixturing division in Birmingham.
Reporting to the Sales Director and having close interaction with the manufacturing site and existing engineering/operations team, the Senior Sales Engineer will be targeted at delivering sales growth for smaller volume complex fixturing, machine tools, robotic handling tools, dies and other similar bespoke and technically strong requirements.
This privately-owned organisation has a comprehensive technology group behind it and works across a range of sectors including automotive and motorsport. However, this role is focused across all potential industry opportunities.
Simply, the role will be targeted on:
- New sales growth through existing knowledge and contact base combined with a proactive sales approach
- Supporting the estimating and bid process working alongside the engineering and operations team
- Managing commercial discussions and the securing of new work
- Managing clients to support future sales growth opportunities
- Representing the company in the market, attending trade shows as required to develop further successful relationships
- Acting as the focal point for internal and customer queries on a day-to-day basis, managing and updating commercial processes ensuring fit for purpose.
To support this role, you should be/have:
- Ideally degree or minimum HND qualified in engineering
- An ability to discuss and provide engineering solutions with customers - engineer to engineer
- Significant exposure to technical selling of engineered solutions within environments such as robotics, automation, sub-con machining, fixturing etc...
- Overall experience within manufacturing with knowledge of key processes such as machining, fabrication, assembly, welding etc...
- Experience of negotiating with customers and suppliers, with excellent influencing and communication skills
- Experience strengthening business relations with customers and industry

We are seeking an experienced operational leader to join our Energy Division as a Service Delivery & Resource Manager, leading workforce planning and operational resource coordination across our electricity distribution and utility services network.
This is a key leadership opportunity within a critical infrastructure environment, responsible for ensuring the effective deployment of operational teams supporting construction, metering, maintenance, network operations and customer service delivery across Jersey’s electricity distribution network.
You will play a central role in supporting the delivery of essential utility services across a network that includes substations, distribution infrastructure, underground cable systems and more than 55,000 service and metering points.
We are looking for a highly organised and commercially aware manager with strong experience in utilities operations, field workforce planning, operational service delivery or infrastructure resource management.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading the Service Delivery Resource team to ensure efficient workforce planning and operational scheduling
- Managing resource allocation across construction, metering, maintenance and operational delivery teams
- Supporting electricity distribution and utility operations through effective deployment of field-based personnel
- Forecasting workforce demand and supporting long-term operational planning
- Driving performance improvements through KPI analysis, reporting and process optimisation
- Collaborating with Construction, Planning, Metering and Network Operations teams to support business priorities
- Leading team performance, development, training and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with HS&E standards, utility regulations and operational procedures

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Undertake the assembly and manufacture of parts and assemblies to the point where they are complete machines and ready for testing.
Tasks Include:
- Control panel assembly and wiring
- Mechanical fitting and assembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and finished machines
- Plastic parts manufacture
- Finishing and packaging of completed machines
- Wiring of chambers
- Testing of chambers using provided instructions
- Self-inspection of finished items according to defined methodology
- Improving assembly methods and practices to reduce costs and minimize waste
- Ensuring quality work to minimize non-conformities
- Adhering strictly to provided work instructions and methods

WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR NEEDED IN COVENTRY!!!
Are you an experienced Workshop Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Lead Technician, Lead Fitter or Section Supervisor who has experience from within the Automotive, Re-manufacturing or Defence sector, and are you looking for a permanent job on day shifts within Coventry?!
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join a leading re manufacturing business in Coventry, the working hours are 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), and the job comes with an annual salary up to £45,000 per annum (DOE).
We are looking for someone who will be a hands-on supervisor that is still prepared to be on the tools and get their hands dirty, previous experience in a similar hands-on role is ESSENTIAL.
The hiring manager would like someone who has previous experience and knowledge working with diesel engine repairs (reconditioning and overhaul) and/or experience in repairing diesel power generators.
Previous experience working on military vehicles would be highly advantageous, and the hiring manager would also prefer someone to have a minimum of a NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
What You Will Do:
- Supervise the Reman/Plant Team, ensuring daily production targets and departmental objectives are consistently achieved.
- Actively oversee and support workshop activities, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring all outputs meet customer expectations.
- Complete essential documentation accurately, including job cards, survey reports, production tracking sheets, and compliance records.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, fostering an environment that supports efficiency and teamwork.
- Operate as a hands-on Lead Technician, combining technical expertise with leadership to achieve operational goals.
- Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the section.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in a lead technician role within a workshop or re-manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience within the Automotive, Re-manufacturing or Defence sector - ESSENTIAL
- A proven background in diesel engine repair, and/or experience servicing and repairing diesel power generators - ESSENTIAL
- Minimum of a NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills in both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Previous experience working with/on military vehicles - PREFERRED
