What You Will Do:

 

- Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System to comply with AS9100 standards.

- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

- Monitor production quality on the shop floor, resolving issues in real time and driving corrective actions.

- Manage calibration systems and external service providers, keeping all equipment compliant and records up to date.

- Support laboratory testing and process validation activities to maintain consistent product quality.

- Contribute to ISO14001 environmental compliance, including effluent treatment monitoring and data collection projects.

 

What You Will Bring:

 

- Proven experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role within manufacturing, ideally in electroplating or a similar process environment.

- Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards and audit processes, with experience maintaining ISO14001 systems.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a hands-on, proactive approach.

- High computer literacy, with experience using software platforms for data analysis and quality management.

- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with shop floor teams and management alike.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assembly Operative to join a well-established, industry-leading manufacturer with over 90 years of engineering excellence. The Role

As an Assembly Operative, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day production and assembly process, supporting the manufacture of precision composite components. Working to detailed work instructions, you will contribute to safe, efficient and high‑quality output across multiple production stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and finish composite components in line with production schedules and quality standards.
  • Prepare, handle and load raw materials and components for use within the production process.
  • Place cut materials and sub‑components into tooling, moulds and fixtures accurately and consistently.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment such as presses, ovens and autoclaves following standard operating procedures.
  • Carry out basic finishing, trimming and assembly tasks to meet specification requirements.
  • Pack, label and prepare finished products for dispatch.
  • Complete production records, check sheets and quality documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area in line with health and safety requirements.
  • Work closely with team members, supervisors and production leads to meet output targets.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in assembly, production or manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • A practical, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, drawings and standard processes.
  • Comfortable working in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Good time management and the ability to meet production deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different assembly tasks.
  • Experience with composite materials or high‑precision manufacturing would be an advantage, but is not essential.

A position has arisen within the Service department for an office-based coordinator supporting a section of the breakdown team.

Job Description:

This is a key role within the Service department, supporting customers and field-based breakdown engineers across a regional area, arranging site visits to resolve machine breakdowns.

This office-based role requires strong organisation, communication, and coordination skills. Responsibilities include scheduling engineers, discussing faults and job expectations with engineers and customers, and invoicing completed work.

The successful candidate will develop machine tool knowledge and become a key member of the UIF Service Co-ordination team.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have a positive, proactive attitude, strong problem-solving ability, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility is essential to meet team targets and support engineers and colleagues when required.

  • Confident communicating at manager/director level
  • Knowledge of machine build processes and structure

The Reward
