What You'll Be Doing
You'll become the central point for purchasing and materials coordination, ensuring products and components are available to meet customer demand.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing supplier relationships to achieve the highest standards of cost, quality, and delivery.
- Monitoring supplier performance and proactively resolving supply issues.
- Raising and managing purchase orders while maintaining accurate pricing.
- Reviewing supplier performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved service.
- Managing stock levels, reorder points, and inventory parameters to optimise availability and minimise excess stock.
- Maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), product records, and supplier documentation.
- Processing supplier invoices and resolving invoice or delivery discrepancies.
- Supporting import documentation and customs processes.
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
- Identifying opportunities to improve purchasing processes, inventory control, and overall supply chain performance.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines excellent organisation with a commercial mindset and enjoys working across multiple departments.
You'll ideally have:
- At least 3 years' experience within Purchasing, Materials Planning, Stock Control or Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working within fast-paced manufacturing or production businesses.
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
- Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience managing inventory levels and stock control.
- Confidence communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable:
- CIPS qualification (or working towards).
- Experience analysing inventory parameters and stock optimisation.
- Understanding of import documentation and freight processes.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

The Role

- Manage tooling requirements and ensure robust manufacturing processes are in place to support production demands.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, EHS, suppliers, and customers to deliver engineering solutions.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry and customer requirements.

Are you an experienced Production Manager, Production Shift Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Abattoir Manager or Production Operations Manager seeking a new permanent job opportunity, and do you have previous experience working within the food manufacturing / food production sector?!
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join a well established food production business in Telford (Shropshire), the working hours are 7.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday (45 hours per week), and the annual salary is up to £60,000 per annum (DOE).
The hiring manager is specifically looking for someone who has previous Abattoir experience within a manufacturing environment and can demonstrate a strong background in operating at a management level within an Abattoir.
What You Will Do:
- Lead daily abattoir operations as a Production Manager, taking full accountability for safe and effective performance.
- Drive departmental KPIs including health and safety, yield, labour control, waste reduction, downtime management, quality, and compliance outcomes.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, risk assessments, safe systems of work, HACCP controls, GMP standards, animal welfare requirements, and BRCGS expectations.
- Coach and develop supervisors and operatives through performance conversations, 121s, training activities, and competency sign-off processes.
- Maintain operational discipline by monitoring attendance, conduct, productivity, and behavioural standards, taking action where needed.
- Partner with technical, maintenance, boning hall, offal, lairage, HR, and wider operational teams to improve production flow and audit readiness.
What You Will Bring:

- Strong understanding of animal welfare, food safety, hygiene, and compliance frameworks, including BRCGS expectations.

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical biased Test Engineer to join our engineering team, responsible for the inspection, testing and verification of bespoke electrical systems and equipment throughout the manufacturing process.
This role operates within highly regulated industries, including the nuclear sector, where strict adherence to quality, safety and compliance standards is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring electrical systems, control panels and associated equipment are fully tested, verified and documented prior to delivery.
This position will require eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) due to the nature of the projects and customer sites involved.
Working closely with Design, Manufacturing and Quality teams, you will help ensure all products meet customer specifications, relevant legislation and industry standards.
The Role
As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will:
- Carry out electrical inspection, testing and fault finding on low-voltage electrical systems, control panels and associated equipment.
- Perform electrical verification, including continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, and functional testing using calibrated test equipment.
- Carry out and support hydraulic testing activities, including pressure testing of associated systems where required (following appropriate procedures and safety controls).
- Produce and maintain electrical and test documentation, including:
- Electrical inspection and test records
- Functional test procedures
- Hydraulic and pressure test records
- Test reports and certification
- Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Verify electrical and mechanical assemblies against engineering drawings, schematics and specifications.
- Identify electrical and hydraulic faults, defects and non-conformities, supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with BS7671, relevant nuclear sector quality standards, and company procedures.
- Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.
- Support final product verification prior to customer inspection and release.
- Maintain calibration records and ensure all test equipment is fit for purpose.
- Ensure all work is completed safely under controlled procedures suitable for regulated and nuclear environments.
What We're Looking For:
Essential
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent) desirable.
- Experience testing industrial electrical systems, control panels or bespoke engineered equipment.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments (nuclear sector experience preferred).
- Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) is essential.
- Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems used in industrial equipment.
- Experience supporting or conducting hydraulic pressure testing or similar mechanical integrity testing.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Experience using electrical test equipment and pressure testing equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, including safe isolation and controlled test environments.
Desirable
- Experience in the nuclear, defence, rail, or oil & gas sectors.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / nuclear quality assurance standards.
- Understanding of control systems and PLC-based equipment.
- Experience with structured test documentation in regulated environments.
