MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS REQUIRED IN ELLESMERE PORT, CHESHIRE!!

Are you an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer / Shift Engineer / Shift Maintenance Engineer who is seeking a new job opportunity, and are you happy working 4 on 4 off shifts?!

We are seeking 4 Maintenance Engineers to join a leading FMCG manufacturing business in Ellesmere Port, the hiring manager is looking for someone who is Electrically biased and either holds their 18th Edition, a Level 3 or Level 4 Engineering qualification (preferably a HNC or equivalent) in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or someone who is Apprenticeship trained or time served.

This job will be working 4 on 4 off shifts (2 days and 2 nights as part of your 4 on), and the annual salary for this role is paying between £54,000 - £58,000 per annum (DOE), with overtime oppotunities also available.

We are looking for someone who can fault find competently on PLCs and has both Electrical & Mechanical capabilities.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards, promoting a culture of zero harm and safe working practices.
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure maintenance and changeover tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, using tools and techniques such as 5S, TPM, and Kaizen to enhance processes and equipment performance.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure the proper segregation of waste from engineering activities.

What You Will Bring:

  • NVQ Level 4 / HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance, with a solid foundation in multi-disciplined skills.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities, with experience in PLC diagnostics and ladder logic.
  • Proficiency in reading complex electrical and engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and implementing equipment improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork and continuous improvement.

Engine Fitter required in Telford, Shropshire!!!

We are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing business in Telford and helping them to recruit an additional Engine Fitter to join their team, this is working a day shift pattern (8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday) and the role comes with an annual salary up to £35,000 per annum (DOE).

Overtime is also available and is paid at T1/2 premium when worked.

This role would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked with Car, HGV or Military Vehicle Engines either in a working capacity, or as a hobby and you have previous experience with stripping and rebuilding Engines. Similar job titles would include Engine Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Engine Strip & Re-builder, HGV Engine Fitter, or Vehicle Mechanic. 

What You Will Do:

  • Strip down and refurbish various components, breathing new life into each part.
  • Clean down parts once disassembled, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
  • Conduct tests on components once reassembled, guaranteeing they function as intended.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, translating them into actionable tasks.
  • Utilize hand and power tools daily, including spanners and torque wrenches, to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all.

Required is an experienced Injection Moulding Setter who can set up, troubleshoot, and optimise moulding processes while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up moulds and install them into injection moulding presses
  • Configure machine parameters and process parts to specification
  • Inspect sample and production parts for accuracy and quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues at the press
  • Record and maintain process settings and documentation
  • Safely handle materials, tools, and equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in injection moulding setup and processing (essential)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, scales, dial indicators, etc.)
  • Comfortable using basic computer systems and following written instructions
  • Safety-focused and physically capable of hands-on work (lifting, bending, reaching)
  • IMT level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) highly desirable
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and punctual
  • Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, or overhead hoists is an advantage but not essential.

You will have current or recent experience as injection mould technician, injection moulder, injection mould setter, injection mould tool setter, injection moulder or process technician
