2 x MACHINE SETTER OPERATOR VACANCIES IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!!

Have you previously worked within the FMCG sector (Food Manufacturing, Packaging, Print, Plastics or Pharmaceutical) and do you have a minimum of 3 years experience in one of these industries?!

We are looking for 2 Machine Setter Operators to join an FMCG manufacturing business in Telford (Shropshire), these positions are all permanent positions from day 1, the starting salary is just over £35,000 per annum with pay increases to happen once you are fully trained.

The hiring manager is looking for people who live within a 25 mile radius of Telford (Shropshire).

You will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour days and nights shifts) and the working hours are 6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am.

The on boarding process would involve you completing an on-line SHL assessment, as well as being invited to the factory for an on site interview and a full factory tour.

These roles would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked as a Manufacturing Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Machine Setter Operator, Process Operator, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter or Skilled Machinist within an FMCG manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Operate high-speed machinery with precision and efficiency, ensuring seamless production runs.
  • Perform timely machine setups to minimise downtime and maximise output.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to maintain optimal performance.
  • Monitor production processes closely, identifying and resolving issues using tools like the process fault tree.
  • Perform pre-use checks and quality assessments to ensure products meet the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed production targets.

Do you have previous experience setting and/or operating machinery in a fast paced manufacturing environment, and are you happy working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern?

We are proud to be working with a long-standing manufacturer in Telford (Shropshire) who are seeking 3 Machine Operators to join them on a straight permanent basis, the starting salary for these roles will range between £35,000 - £36,300 per annum and the working hours are 6am-6pm / 6pm - 6am (4 on 4 off shifts rotating days and nights).

About the role

Following an operational restructure the business is creating several new opportunities for an experienced Production Manager who thrives on leading change.

The role is on a night's shift pattern which is Monday to Thursday 9.15pm to 6.30am (37 hours per week) There is also flexible working which can be explained on application.

As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will be a driving force behind performance, engagement and continuous improvement. About you

Essential

Degree, HND, NVQ Level 5 or equivalent in manufacturing, engineering or a related discipline.

Strong working knowledge of Lean, WCM, Six Sigma problem-solving and Kaizen deployment.

Confident people leader with the ability to coach, challenge and inspire teams.

Track record of delivering KPIs through engagement, standardisation and continuous improvement.

Strong understanding of H&S, ISO9001 and quality systems.

Financial awareness including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.

Able to interpret engineering drawings, PFMEAs and control plans.

Desirable
