Aluminium Mig Welder Fabricator. Your expertise will play a vital role in shaping innovative solutions for the defence industry. This position offers the chance to work in a state-of-the-art facility, collaborating with a dedicated team on projects that make a significant impact. This Aluminium Mig Welder role offers stability, growth and the satisfaction of contributing to world-class manufacturing standards. Working 07:00 - 15:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 12:00 Friday paying £19.22 per hour plus overtime.  

 

What You Will Do:

 

- Weld aluminium using MIG techniques in line with established procedures and engineering drawing demonstrating Multi-Run Fillet Welds

- Utilise jigs and fixtures to manufacture components, ensuring compliance with high-quality standards.

- Conduct visual and non-destructive inspections to ensure fabricated components meet specifications.

- Perform regular European qualification tests to maintain welder approval certifications.

- Use hand tools and precise measuring instruments to complete tasks efficiently.

- Log hours and activities using a Materials Requirements Planning system (SAP).

 

What You Will Bring:

 

- Recognised Time Served Apprenticeship in Welding or a relevant discipline.

- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a related field.

- Welding operator qualifications to ISO 14732 and ISO 9606 parts 1 and 2.

- Practical experience in a heavy manufacturing or fabrication environment.

- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

NIGHT SHIFT WELDING SUPERVISOR NEEDED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!

Are you an experience Welding Supervisor, Welding Coordinator or Welding Chargehand who is happy working night shifts, and are you seeking a new permanent job to start in Telford?

We are looking for a Welding Supervisor to join a sheet metal manufacturer in Telford (Shropshire), this will be working a 12 hour night shift Monday to Thursday, the basic salary (including a monthly bonus) is just over £42K, and there are further overtime opportunities available paid at T1/2 Saturday & double time Sunday.

The hiring manager is ideally looking for someone with some previous welding supervising / welding team leader experience, but they would consider someone who has got a good welding / fabrication background who is looking for the next step into a Supervisory role.

You may be required to initially train on day shifts for the first 2-4 weeks before moving onto nights.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee a team of 4-8 welders, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor workflow and ensure efficient operations across a variety of welding projects.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to guide the team and maintain accuracy.
  • Provide hands-on support with welding tasks when time permits.
  • Manage batch sizes ranging from small one-off assemblies to large-scale, repeat orders.
  • Ensure the use of jigs for complex or repeat items to streamline production processes.

  • Mechanical assembly and preparation work on a variety of modules, Lathes and Machining Centres.
  • Ensure all activities are completed within Health and Safety Guidelines.
  • Actively engage with all company Quality Control Initiatives.
  • Follow written procedures and detailed checklists.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous Mechanical, Fitting or Assembly Experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work to a good quality standard and use hand tools (powered and non powered).
  • Be able to read and work to drawings.
  • Strong communication skills working closely with Team Leaders and Supervisors.
  • Team player who can work to build programme and deadlines.

We are currently working with an successful manufacturing business who are looking to appoint a experienced Production Manager to take ownership of a growing production facility at the forefront of electromechanical manufacturing.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Director this role will be involved in leading a skilled team of 50 heads and oversee the full end-to-end process: from internal logistics and sub-assemblies to final electromechanical assembly. PRODUCTION OPERATIVE NEEDED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!

Do you have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment, are you looking for a long term job and are you able to get to Hortonwood?!

We are seeking a Production Operative for a well established manufacturing business based in Telford, Shropshire, the working hours for this job is day shifts (7.45am – 4.15pm Monday to Thursday , 8.00am – 1.00pm Friday) - 37 hours per week.

The starting rate of pay is £12.80 per hour, which will initially rise to £13.10 per hour (once you've completed a 3 month probation), with the top end rate of pay for this job being £13.54 per hour.

This role would suit someone who has good attention to detail, is nimble fingered and can meet daily production targets.

Previous experience from within the aerospace, automotive or electronics industry would be well received.

What You Will Do:

  • Loading components onto a lamination machine
  • Verify components against technical drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Monitor machine performance and address any operational concerns.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing department to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure all components meet customer standards before progressing to the next production phase.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company procedures.

What You Will Bring:
