ELECTRICAL FITTER NEEDED IN TELFORD (SHROPSHIRE)

Are you an experienced Electrical Fitter, Auto Electrician, Panel Wirer or Electrical Assembler looking for a new job, are you looking for work in the Telford area and do you have a passion for working with vehicles?!

We are looking for an Electrical Fitter to join a long-standing manufacturing business in the Stafford Park area of Telford (Shropshire), the working hours are 7.30am - 4.30pm Mon-Thurs, and 6.00am - 12.00pm on a Friday (39 hours per week), the starting rate of pay will vary depending on your skill set, but a starting rate between £13.50 - £15.00 per hour is on offer.

The hiring manager would prefer someone who has previously worked with vehicles / commercial vehicles / HGVs previously and has experience with 12v / 24v auto electrics and/or has experience with fitting beacon lights, work lights, inverters and plug sockets.

We are looking for someone that can read and work from wiring diagrams (schematic drawings), and has some familiarity with wiring, soldering, connectors, batteries, and other electrical ancillary components.

What You Will Do:

  • Fit out vehicles such as panel vans, cars, and 4x4s according to detailed instructions, ensuring specifications, quality, and deadlines are met.
  • Install automotive electrical components including beacons, work lights, inverters, and other 12V DC systems.
  • Utilise various hand tools and perform mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Work with automotive wiring, soldering, connectors, batteries, and ancillary components.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams and contribute to vehicle conversion projects with precision and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality standards.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience in automotive electrics, particularly with 12V or 24V DC systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams and electrical components such as batteries and connectors.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and the use of hand tools.

Are you a Mechanically biased Assembly Operative, Mechanical Assembler, Vehicle Fitter, Panel Maker, Joiner, Mechanical Fitter or Vehicle Technician seeking a new job in Telford to start ASAP?!

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join a leading manufacturer in the Stafford Park area of Telford, the starting pay rate will be £13.00 per hour, with the view to rising to £13.50 per hour once fully trained, the working hours are 7.30am-4.30pm Mon-Thurs, and 6.00am - 12.00pm finish on a Friday (39 hours per week).

The hiring manager would prefer someone who has previously worked on commercial vehicles (either in a full time job or as a hobby), but providing you have used hand tools and can read from drawings then full industry training will be provided.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

During the first 12 weeks you would earn an annual salary of £26,500 per annum, but once on the rotating shift system you could earn between £29,000 - £34,200 per annum, overtime is regularly available and is paid at T1/3 after 39 hours, and T1/2 after 48 hours, this business also offers a £2,000 new starter incentive bonus which is a staggered payment (£200 after the first month, £800 once you've passed probation and the final £1,000 to be paid after 12 months service).

Anyone who has previously worked as a Sheet Metal Worker, Sheet Metal Assembler, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Assembler, MIG Welder, Fabricator or Linisher would be well received.

  • Operate spot welding equipment to join sheet metal and other components accurately and efficiently
  • Set up and adjust welding machines to meet specifications and quality standards

Are you an experienced Fabricator Welder, Fabricator or MIG Welder Fabricator looking for a permanent job, are you happy working a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift Monday to Friday and are you able to get to Sandbach?!

We are looking for 2 experienced Fabricator Welders to join a sheet metal fabrication business in Sandbach (Cheshire).

For the first 12 weeks you will train on day shifts (7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 12.30pm finish Friday), before moving onto a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern once trained.

During the first 12 weeks you would earn an annual salary between £32,000 -£36,500 per annum (DOE), but once on the rotating shift system you could earn between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum basic, overtime is regularly available and is paid at T1/3 after 39 hours, and T1/2 after 48 hours, this business also offers a £2,000 new starter incentive bonus which is a staggered payment (£200 after the first month, £800 once you've passed probation and the final £1,000 to be paid after 12 months service).

This will be a one stage interview process, with the hiring manager keen to do first stage interviews and weld tests ASAP.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform MIG welding on various metal components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and other data to be used in the preparation of the product to be manufactured, carrying out dimensional inspection prior to welding.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures.
  • Communicate potential risk to quality and efficiency to your team leader.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products.
  • Follow safety guidelines, carry out safety checks and maintain a clean work environment.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience in fabricating and welding, with a strong understanding of steel structures.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data accurately.
