PRODUCTION LEAD REQUIRED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!!

We are proud to be working with a leading food manufacturing business in Telford to help them recruit a Production Lead on a straight permanent basis, this business are increasing their production capacity by adding in 2 new production lines, and they are looking to hire permanent staff between now and the beginning of September.

The hiring manager is specifically looking for someone who has a proven management background from within the Food Manufacturing industry, and someone who lives within a 25 mile radius of Telford, Shropshire.

This role will be working Monday to Friday (39.5 hours per week), and the role comes with a starting annual salary of £50,000 per annum, which will have the opportunity to rise up to £52,000 per annum after probation.

This will be a 2 stage interview process, with the first stage consisting of a numeracy and literacy assessment on site in Telford, Shropshire.

This job would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked as a Production Manager, Shift Manager, Senior Production Manager, Production Operations Manager or Manufacturing Manager within the Food Manufacturing Industry.

WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER NEEDED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!

Are you an experienced Warehouse Team Leader with a proven background in logistics, and do you hold either a Counterbalance or Reach forklift license?!

We are helping a manufacturing business based in Telford to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader the working hours for this role will either be a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern, or a fixed day shift 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday, a pay rate of £14.00 - £15.00 per hour is on offer but the exact rate of pay will come down to experience.

Previous experience within the plastics manufacturing industry would be highly advantageous, as well as someone who holds a certificate or qualification within warehousing or logistics.

The hiring manager would like someone who has got some ERP system experience, and someone that holds either a Counterbalance or Reach forklift license.

We are looking for someone who wants to build and develop a career moving forwards, but already has the ready made experience in order for you to hit the ground running.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure the warehouse, shipping, and inventory are managed efficiently, adhering to company procedures.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment in excellent working condition while upholding housekeeping standards.
  • Pick and prepare finished goods and raw materials for internal and external customers, ensuring accuracy and FIFO compliance.
  • Manage warehouse stock, including the safe storage of hazardous materials, ensuring proper identification and labelling.

What You Will Bring:

  • Previous experience in warehouse and shipping operations, ideally within the plastics or manufacturing industry.
  • An FLT Counterbalance or Reach forklift license
  • Previous ERP system experience
  • Strong organisational, multitasking, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices, including the handling of hazardous products.

Numerous Composite Fitters are required to join a market leading Innovative Defence Systems and Aviation Company. The Composite Fitters will be joining the Production Team Overseas. The skilled Composite Fitters will ideally have hands-on experience within aerospace manufacturing. The Composite Fitters will be responsible for the Precise lay-up, trimming, fitting, and assembly of composite components, with a strong emphasis on pre-preg composite materials. The Composite Fitters will be ensuring high-quality, safety-critical parts are manufactured to aerospace standards.

The Composite Fitters will play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality aerospace components, working collaboratively with colleagues across engineering, production, programmes and quality teams. The Composite Fitters require a strong technical ability and the professionalism to represent the business with integrity when interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders both in the UK and overseas.

Composite Fitters - Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out autoclave loading/unloading and monitor curing process.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, programmes, and production teams to resolve builds.
  • Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Inspect materials and finished components for defects, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a safe, clean & organised working environment in line with company HSE policies.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment safely and accurately.
  • Perform lay-up, de-bulking, and vacuum bagging of pre-preg composite materials.
  • Trim, drill, fit & assemble composite components to engineering drawings & specifications.
  • Work to tight tolerances and follow detailed technical instructions, build manuals and aerospace standards.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed for the Composite Fitters

  • NVQ Level 3 in Aeronautical or Composite Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on, detail-focused, and able to work effectively both independently and as a team.
  • Able to bring confidence, precision, and pride in their craft.
  • Ensure that all composite structures meet stringent aerospace standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with autoclave and oven curing operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong organisational skills.
  • Skilled in hand-fitting, trimming/bonding composite parts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to high levels of accuracy.
  • Experience of working with pre-preg composite materials in Industry.
  • Experience of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
  • Experience with clean room or temperature-controlled environments.
  • Knowledge of NDT processes for composites (e.g., ultrasonic inspection).
  • Knowledge of composite lay-up techniques, curing processes, and aerospace standards.
  • Ideally understanding of aerospace certification requirements (e.g., AS9100).
  • A positive 'can do' attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Creative and resourceful under pressure and forward thinking.
  • Able to prioritise workload with minimal supervision, to meet deadlines.
  • Resilient and self-motivated and a willingness and ability to travel overseas

Job Description

The Role

The role is mainly (but not limited to) painting repaired Mazak spindles to as good as new standards and will involve various preparation and painting tasks related to the paint process such as:

  • Preparing a spindle for the paint room, masking up and placing on paint trolley.
  • Removing old paint, and sanding back castings to bare metal.
  • Filling and sanding any defective areas.
  • Spraying etch-primer, primer and gloss in multiple coats to achieve a good finish.
  • Preparing a painted casting/spindle for the assembly/inspection process.

The Person

Essential Criteria

  • Previous Paint Spraying experience is essential for this role.
  • Good attitude and commitment to work.
  • Self-motivated and good communication, attention to detail.
  • Organised, able to plan ahead and good ability to follow procedures.
  • Ability to work to a high level of quality.
  • Willing to learn and be flexible to the department's needs

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience of paint processes.

We are currently working for a pioneering business who are seeking an experience Manufacturing Process Engineer to work at their facility in Peterborough, the role will be involved in driving operational excellence and making a real impact on manufacturing performance. Due to the expansion of our clients team this is a great opportunity to work in a Manufacturing Process Engineer capacity to support our client deliver world-class processes, innovation, and efficiency across our operations.

What you’ll be doing

As a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will:

  • Take ownership of designated processes, driving efficiency, quality, and throughput improvements.
  • Identify and eliminate waste while embedding continuous improvement (CI) practices.
  • Lead or support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring smooth integration into production.
  • Support Capability Acquisition (CA) by implementing new technologies and processes.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation such as flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, and SOPs.
  • Champion standardization and compliance to quality and operational standards.
  • Initiate and manage shopfloor improvement projects with clear scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitor and analyse production KPIs to support data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Technical, and Quality teams to align improvements with wider business objectives.

What we’re looking for

  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Process, or Chemical Engineering (experience in leather or textiles manufacturing is a bonus).
  • Skilled in structured problem-solving (Root Cause Analysis, A3, 8D, Six Sigma, DMAIC, or PDCA).
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
  • Proficiency in process control and built-in-quality tools (PFMEAs, control plans, capability studies).
  • Ability to apply statistical analysis techniques (Minitab or similar software experience desirable).
  • Proven project management skills, leading independently or in cross-functional teams.
