PRODUCTION OPERATIVE REQUIRED IN TELFORD (SHROPSHIRE)

As a Production Operative, you'll be involved in transforming panel vans and cars into finished vehicles that meet exact customer specifications, strict quality standards, and delivery deadlines. With a structured day-shift pattern, ongoing training, and clear opportunities for progression, this role offers a rewarding route into a specialist and growing industry.

Based in the Stafford Park area of Telford. This role offers a starting pay rate of £13.00 per hour, rising to £13.50 per hour once fully trained. Working hours are 7:30am–4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 6:00am–12:00pm on Friday, giving a 39-hour working week.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Follow fitting instructions precisely to complete vehicle conversions, including panel vans, cars and 4x4s as part of a dedicated team.
  • Use a range of hand tools and apply mechanical assembly know-how to produce consistent, reliable work.
  • Ensure every stage of work meets required specification, quality checks, and delivery timeframes.
  • Work safely and take care with tools, equipment and vehicle components at all times.
  • Maintain strong time management to support smooth production flow across each shift.
  • Stay flexible in a Production Operative role, stepping in to support other fitting tasks when required.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience of vehicle conversions is a strong advantage, alongside mechanical assembly ability.

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience designing fabricated steel products and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor?

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering specialist bespoke products for demanding industrial and infrastructure applications.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects from concept through to manufacture, taking ownership of 3D modelling, detailed engineering drawings and design-for-manufacture solutions.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative and manufacturable engineering solutions using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Working closely with manufacturing, project, production and analysis teams, you will ensure designs are practical, compliant and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D CAD models using Autodesk Inventor
  • Produce General Arrangement, fabrication and assembly drawings
  • Generate Bills of Materials and manufacturing documentation
  • Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles throughout projects
  • Design fabricated steel structures, components and assemblies
  • Ensure designs comply with BS8888 and company standards
  • Conduct Designer Risk Assessments and support CDM compliance
  • Collaborate with production, engineering and customer teams

What We're Looking For:

  • HND/HNC or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent
  • industry experience
  • Experience using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault
  • Background in steel fabrication, sheet metal or heavy engineering design
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including press brake and fabrication techniques
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings and BS8888 standards
  • Understanding of structural behaviour, load paths and failure modes
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills:        

  • Welding knowledge and fabrication methods
  • iLogic or VB programming experience
  • Understanding of tolerance analysis and tolerance stacking

Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for stability in your next job role and are you happy working 4 on 4 off shifts (rotating days and nights)?

We are proud to be working with a long-standing manufacturer in Telford (Shropshire) who are seeking a Machine Operator to join them on a straight permanent basis, the starting salary for these roles will range between £35,000 - £36,300 per annum and the working hours are 6am-6pm / 6pm - 6am (4 on 4 off shifts rotating days and nights).

We are looking for people who live within a 25-mile radius of Telford (Shropshire), and the hiring manager is looking for people who have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role.

People who have worked in similar job roles such as a Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Technical Operator, Process Operator, Conversion Operator, Rewind Operator, Core Rewinder, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter or Skilled Machinist would be well received.

The company conduct a 2 stage interview process, the first stage would involve you completing an on-line SHL assessment, with the view to you then being invited to the factory for an on site interview and full factory tour.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to take ownership of commissioning activities across the full lifecycle of complex with bespoke engineering projects.

This is a key role responsible for developing and delivering commissioning strategies, leading testing activities, and acting as the commissioning authority across multidisciplinary teams. You will play a critical part in ensuring engineered solutions are tested, verified, and delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

The Role

As Commissioning Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and implement commissioning strategies for bespoke engineering projects.
  • Produce comprehensive test and commissioning documentation, including:
  • Pressure and proof load testing

What We’re Looking For:

You will bring strong technical credibility combined with practical commissioning leadership experience.

Essential:

  • HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline or higher qualification.
  • Extensive hands-on engineering experience.
  • Experience leading or managing commissioning teams.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Understanding of relevant British and European Standards (e.g. BS7671).

In support of a privately owned and successful SME UK based manufacturing Group, a new role of Production Supervisor based in Tewkesbury is required who will be responsible for supporting the Operations Director in the day-to-day coordination, supervision and performance of the production areas. The role will provide a clear management presence across the machining and production teams, helping to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, to the required quality standard and in line with customer and business priorities.

The Production Supervisor will work closely with Section Leads, Team Leads, Planning, Engineering, Quality and other departments to maintain production flow, resolve day-to-day issues, improve communication and support consistent standards of performance, conduct and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day running of the assigned production areas.

Skills and Experience - Essential

  • Experience in CNC machining, precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
  • Good understanding of production flow, operational priorities and shopfloor management.
  • Ability to supervise, organise and motivate people.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to deal with issues directly and professionally.
  • Good problem-solving ability and a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Good awareness of quality, health and safety and delivery requirements.

Ideally, you should have experience of working within the aerospace sector and have familiarity with production planning systems or ERP/MRP systems.
