Our client is a specialist manufacturer of custom heavy machinery and vehicles. The are seeking an HGV Technician to join their growing team. As an HGV Technician, you will carry out PPM, service and repair custom vehicles to the clients’ exact specifications.

HGV Technician Responsibilities;

-          Carry out maintenance and repairs on all makes of heavy goods vehicles

-          Fault find and carry out repairs

-          Provide technical support to clients and the wider engineering team

-          Ensure that H&S standards are adhered to throughout each project

-          Ensure that all supporting documentation is completed correctly

HGV Technician Requirements:

-          Experienced in repairing and maintaining custom vehicles

-          Previous experience using bench hand tools and workshop equipment

-          HGV & PSV Licence would be advantageous but not essential

-          Must be able to work to detailed engineering drawings

-          Must be a team player

FLT Counterbalance Driver

Are you an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver seeking a new job opportunity, are you happy working 12 hour days or night shifts and do you hold an ITSSAR or RTITB or Brittop accredited license that is currently within 3 or 5 years?!

We are actively seeking several FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join a leading food manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire.

The shift pattern available is as followed:

  • Thursday, Friday & Saturday (and every other Sunday) - 12 hour day shifts - £13.31ph
  • Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (and every other Saturday)- 12hr night shifts- £15.13ph
  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (and every other Saturday)- 12hr night shifts- £15.13ph

The Role:

As an FLT Counterbalance Driver, you will:

  • Operate a Counterbalance FLT/Combi truck safely and efficiently.
  • Load, unload, and move stock between storage and dispatch areas.
  • Store goods in designated locations and support warehouse operations.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any faults or damage.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and obstruction-free working environment.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Valid accredited Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB or equivalent).
  • Minimum 6 months' experience operating a Counterbalance FLT or Combi truck.
  • Previous warehouse experience in a busy environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality, and a dependable attitude.
  • Right to work in the UK.

What You Will Do:

• Operate and programme Zeiss GOM Scanbox equipment to carry out dimensional inspection of components and assemblies.
• Operate and programme Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), ensuring inspections are completed accurately and to specification.
• Carry out first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections in line with quality requirements.
• Produce, analyse, and communicate dimensional inspection reports using relevant metrology software such as Zeiss Calypso and related tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirements to support confident measurement decisions.
• Maintain inspection equipment and complete inspection records and documentation in accordance with quality system procedures.

What You Will Bring:

• Experience programming Zeiss Calypso and working with CMM or scanning inspection processes.
• Experience programming Zeiss GOM Scanbox equipment, or a comparable scanning inspection environment.
• Strong knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T to support accurate dimensional evaluation.
• Confidence using metrology software to analyse results and generate clear inspection reporting.
• Relevant training or qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or an indentured/time-served apprenticeship within a relevant field.

We are looking for 3 Machine Operators to join a leading FMCG manufacturer in Telford (Shropshire) on a straight permanent basis, these jobs will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12 hour days and nights 6-6), and the starting salary for these roles will range between £35,000 - £36,300 per annum.

You MUST have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a Machine Setter/Machine Setter Operator/Machine Operator, and you MUST who live within a 25 mile radius of Telford (Shropshire).

People who have worked in similar job roles such as a Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Technical Operator, Process Operator, Conversion Operator, Rewind Operator, Core Rewinder, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter or Skilled Machinist would be well received.

The interview process will consist of you attending an interview on site, full factory tour and completing a paper based assessment, in total you will be on site for just under 2 hours.

What You Will Do:

  • Operate high-speed machinery with precision to ensure smooth and efficient production runs.
  • Set up machines swiftly and accurately, minimising downtime and optimising productivity.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to maintain peak performance.
  • Monitor production processes closely, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet the company's high standards.
  • Keep detailed records of production output and downtime, collaborating with the team to exceed targets.

What You Will Bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience within a similar role.

  • Confidence and ability to make minor machine adjustments and troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently without supervision.
