JOB VACANCY - MOBILE FITTER
We are looking for a Mobile Fitter to join a well established vehicle conversion manufacturing business in the Halesfield area of Telford, Shropshire.
Anyone who has previously worked as a Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Mobile Mechanic, Assembly Fitter, Mobile Fitter, Mechanical Assembler, Mechanical Fitter, Electrical Fitter, Vehicle Fitter or Vehicle Technician would be well received.
This role will involve you being out on the road installing after market products to vehicles across the country to an excellent standard while providing and excellent customer service, it is ESSENTIAL that you hold a Full UK Driving License.
The working hours are day shifts Monday to Friday (45 hours per week), the starting hourly pay rate is up to £14.00 per hour DOE (annual salary just over £33,000 per annum), with future development and progression opportunities available, as well as overtime also being available and paid at T1/2 rate once you've passed a probation period, overnight stays may be required from time to time

PERMANENT VACANCY - SPOT WELDER
Are you a Spot Welder, Sheet Metal Worker, Sheet Metal Assembler, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Assembler, MIG Welder, Fabricator or Linisher seeking a new job, and can you get to Sandbach?
We are looking for a Spot Welder to join a sheet metal fabrication business in Sandbach, whilst training you will work day shifts (7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 12.30pm finish Friday), before moving onto a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern once fully trained.
During the first 12 weeks you would earn an annual salary of £26,500 per annum, but once on the rotating shift system you could earn between £29,000 - £34,200 per annum (DOE).
Overtime is regularly available and is paid at T1/3 after 39 hours, and T1/2 after 48 hours, this business also offers a £2,000 new starter incentive bonus which is a staggered payment (£200 after the first month, £800 once you've passed probation and the final £1,000 to be paid after 12 months service).
What You Will Do:
- Operate spot welding equipment to join sheet metal and other components accurately and efficiently
- Set up and adjust welding machines to meet specifications and quality standards
- Perform welding and other welding techniques as required for specialised tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to prepare materials prior to welding
- Conduct inspections of welds to ensure they meet safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Follow technical drawings, diagrams, and basic math calculations to complete tasks accurately

Controls Engineer
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Controls Engineer to join a well-established engineering business specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke automated machinery and special-purpose equipment.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a key role in the design, programming, commissioning and ongoing development of innovative automation solutions for customers across a variety of industries.
This role offers a combination of office-based engineering, hands-on commissioning and occasional customer site work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop PLC software and machine control systems for bespoke automation projects.
- Produce functional specifications and machine control documentation.
- Ensure all control systems comply with current safety standards and best engineering practices.
- Support design reviews, risk assessments and design feasibility studies.
- Commission, test and fault-find PLC-controlled machinery both in-house and at customer sites.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical and project engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and customer acceptance activities.
- Provide technical support to installation and commissioning teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout each project.
- Liaise directly with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
About You
We're looking for an engineer who has:
- HNC, HND or Degree qualification in Electrical, Controls or Automation Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
- Previous experience in a Controls Engineer position within industrial automation or special purpose machinery.
- Strong PLC programming experience using Siemens S7 / TIA Portal.
- Experience with Ford FAST Programming would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Schneider Electric Unity or PL7 is beneficial but not essential.
- A sound understanding of machinery, automation systems and mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience commissioning and fault-finding automated equipment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using CAD packages such as EPLAN or AutoCAD would be advantageous.

Are you an experienced Welder Fabricator who can TIG weld on aluminium and stainless steel, and are you looking for a permanent job on day shifts?!
We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a sheet metal fabrication business in Stevenage, the role involves more TIG Welding than MIG welding, but the hiring manager would like someone who can MIG weld as or when required.
The working hours are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) with overtime available and paid at T1/2, there is an option for an earlier finish on a Friday should you wish to work 43 hours basic in the week.
The basic salary will range between £37,500 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) (hourly rate of £18.00 - £21.50 per hour).
