If you are an experienced B2B sales professional who enjoys winning new business, developing customer relationships and selling technical solutions, this could be a great opportunity to take ownership of a South UK territory.

You will need to come from a capital equipment, systems or technical solutions sales environment. This could be experience selling industrial equipment, machinery, engineering systems, production equipment, automation or other project based solutions into manufacturing businesses.

The role is approximately 60% new business development and 40% account management, so you will need to be comfortable proactively identifying opportunities as well as building long term relationships with existing customers.

• Winning new business and developing existing accounts

• Conducting customer site visits and understanding operational requirements

• Working towards sales and gross margin targets

• Managing a sales pipeline and forecasting accurately

What is important is that you are commercially driven, technically minded and confident selling a solution rather than simply a product.

The person

You will be a self motivated and organised sales professional who enjoys working autonomously and taking ownership of a territory.

You will have excellent communication skills and be confident building relationships with customers at different levels. You will also need to be collaborative, working closely with internal Engineering, Projects and Service teams to make sure customers receive the right solution and a smooth project handover.

A positive attitude, strong customer focus and willingness to continually learn are important. You will represent the business in front of customers, so professionalism and attention to detail are essential.
