Do you enjoy turning complex customer requirements into commercially competitive service solutions? This is a senior position where you will take ownership of technically and commercially robust quotations for service, repairs, refurbishment, retrofit and aftermarket projects, while supporting the development of junior members of the tendering team.

The Role

You will manage the full tendering process from initial enquiry through to quotation submission and project handover, ensuring customers receive accurate, competitive and profitable proposals.

Working closely with customers, sales teams, engineering, field service and operational teams, you will develop technical solutions that meet customer requirements while supporting business growth.

This is a varied role where no two enquiries are the same, offering the opportunity to work on planned maintenance, emergency repairs, refurbishment projects and lifecycle asset management solutions across the water and wastewater industry.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing enquiries from qualification through to quotation and contract handover
  • Preparing technical and commercial proposals for repairs, refurbishment, retrofit and field service work
  • Reviewing customer specifications, contracts and scopes of work
  • Producing accurate cost models, pricing strategies and commercial quotations
  • Working closely with engineering, workshop and field service teams to develop technical solutions
  • Supporting customer meetings, site visits and technical discussions
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities within each tender
  • Promoting lifecycle management services and aftermarket opportunities
  • Supporting forecasting activities and reporting on tender pipelines
  • Mentoring Tendering Engineers and providing guidance on complex opportunities
  • Driving continuous improvement across tendering processes and proposal quality

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience preparing technical and commercial quotations 
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, rotating equipment or industrial mechanical equipment
  • Experience with service, repair, refurbishment, retrofit or aftermarket engineering solutions
  • Understanding of field service operations, maintenance activities and shutdown planning
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and customer requirements
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience identifying and managing risk
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident working across engineering, operations and commercial teams
  • Experience within an OEM or industrial service environment would be advantageous
  • MEICA knowledge would be beneficial

Temp Stock Controller Responsibilities:

-          Support the receiving and processing of delivered goods.

-          Update stock records on the ERP system.

PRODUCTION OPERATIVE NEEDED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!

Do you have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment, are you looking for a job that could lead to a full time contract, and are you able to get to Hortonwood?!

We are seeking a Production Operative for a well established manufacturing business based in the Hortonwood area of Telford, Shropshire, the working hours for this job will initially be day shifts (7.45am – 4.15pm Monday to Thursday , 8.00am – 1.00pm Friday) - 37 hours per week, but after a 12 week probation period you will move onto a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern Monday to Friday.

The starting rate of pay is £13.10 per hour whilst working on day shifts, but once you move onto a permanent contract and the rotating shift pattern, your pay rate will increase to £15.74 per hour (which includes a shift allowance), with the top end pay rate being £16.18 per hour once you are fully trained and signed off as a competent operator.

Previous experience from within the aerospace, automotive or electronics industry would be well received.

What You Will Do:

  • Checking and cleaning parts before they are loaded onto the lamination machine
  • Verify components against technical drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Monitor machine performance and address any operational concerns.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing department to resolve quality issues.

NEW PERMANENT VACANCY - WELDER FABRICATOR (TIG)

Are you an experienced Welder Fabricator who can TIG weld on aluminium and stainless steel, and are you looking for a permanent job on day shifts?!

We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a sheet metal fabrication business in Letchworth, the role involves more TIG Welding than MIG welding, but the hiring manager would like someone who can MIG weld as or when required.

The working hours are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) with overtime available and paid at T1/2, there is an option for an earlier finish on a Friday should you wish to work 43 hours basic in the week.

The basic salary will range between £37,500 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) (hourly rate of £18.00 - £21.50 per hour).

This is a permanent contract with the business from day 1, and the hiring manager is keen to interview and weld test ASAP.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on a variety of components, predominantly stainless and aluminium.
