Are you an experienced HR Advisor who enjoys being busy, getting stuck in and making things happen?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced technology business during an important period of growth and change. We are looking for someone with strong employee relations and HR casework experience who can hit the ground running and provide hands on HR support across the business.
This role would suit a high energy, proactive and dependable HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers and employees, is comfortable handling a varied caseload and doesn't wait to be told what needs doing.
The Role
As HR Advisor, you will provide professional HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle, working closely with managers and employees to ensure HR policies, procedures and employment legislation are applied consistently.
You will have a strong focus on employee relations, HR casework, absence management, flexible working, performance management, recruitment and onboarding, as well as providing generalist HR support across the business.
This is a hands on role where you will need to be confident managing your own workload, prioritising competing demands and dealing with sensitive situations professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Manage and support employee relations casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance and absence matters
- Support investigations, meetings, note taking and preparation of HR documentation
- Manage sickness absence reviews and provide guidance to managers
- Support flexible working requests and meetings
- Promote positive employee relations and support effective resolution of workplace issues
- Coordinate recruitment activity from advertising through to offer
- Screen applications and arrange interviews
- Manage references, right to work checks and pre employment checks
- Prepare contracts, offer documentation and HR correspondence
- Coordinate onboarding and induction for new employees
- Monitor probation periods and ensure reviews are completed
- Produce HR reports and management information
- Support employee wellbeing initiatives
- Assist with learning and development activities
- Support the review and development of HR policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring confidence, energy and a practical approach to the role.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience working as an HR Advisor, HR Officer, People Advisor or similar HR generalist role
- Strong experience handling employee relations and HR casework
- Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance and absence processes
- Experience managing sickness reviews and flexible working meetings
- Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience across recruitment, onboarding and general HR administration
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5, or currently working towards a relevant qualification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence dealing with confidential and sensitive employee matters
- A proactive, dependable and solution focused approach

What You Will Do:
• Operate and programme Zeiss GOM Scanbox equipment to carry out dimensional inspection of components and assemblies.
• Operate and programme Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), ensuring inspections are completed accurately and to specification.
• Carry out first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections in line with quality requirements.
• Produce, analyse, and communicate dimensional inspection reports using relevant metrology software such as Zeiss Calypso and related tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirements to support confident measurement decisions.
• Maintain inspection equipment and complete inspection records and documentation in accordance with quality system procedures.
What You Will Bring:
• Experience programming Zeiss Calypso and working with CMM or scanning inspection processes.
• Experience programming Zeiss GOM Scanbox equipment, or a comparable scanning inspection environment.
• Strong knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T to support accurate dimensional evaluation.
• Confidence using metrology software to analyse results and generate clear inspection reporting.
• Relevant training or qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or an indentured/time-served apprenticeship within a relevant field.

Are you a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Mechanically Biased Service Engineer seeking employment?!
We are actively seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering business based in Telford, Shropshire, the standard working hours for this job are day shifts Monday to Friday (39.25 hours per week).
The basic salary will be up to £38,000 (DOE), with overtime opportunities available and paid at T1/2 for anything worked over 39.25 hours in the week and on a Saturday, and double time on a Sunday.
Although the hiring manager is looking for someone who is predominantly Mechanically biased (90% Mechanical), they would like someone who has got some Electrical experience.
Previous welding & fabrication experience is an ESSENTIAL requirement within this job.
We are looking for someone who holds a certificate/qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or similar), and whilst the preference would be to find someone who hs previous experience within the recycling industry, they are happy looking at candidates who have a background in a Heavy Engineering environment that has previously worked on Heavy Machinery or Heavy Equipment.
