Shift Pattern- 05.30am till 13.30pm & 9.30am till 17.30pm on a 2 week rotation.

What You Will Do:

Are you an experienced Automotive Paint Sprayer or Bodyshop Technician looking for your next challenge? Join a leading Defence manufacturer working on some of the UK's most advanced military vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your automotive bodyshop skills on large, complex military platforms in a modern production environment.
Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, you'll be part of a highly skilled team responsible for preparing, refinishing, and restoring military vehicle bodies to the highest standards of quality and durability.
Pay Rate
- £19.33 per hour PAYE
- £25.00 per hour Ltd/Umbrella
The Role
As a Vehicle Body Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for the preparation and spraying of large military vehicles, ensuring all work meets strict quality and Defence industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of vehicle panel preparation, including sanding, filling, masking, and surface finishing.
- Prepare vehicle bodies and components for painting and refinishing.
- Apply primers, base coats, and top coats using conventional and HVLP spray equipment.
- Wet spray large military and armoured vehicle platforms to a high cosmetic standard.
- Mix paints and coatings to specification and ensure colour consistency.
- Inspect completed work and rectify any defects to achieve a flawless finish.
- Maintain paint spraying equipment, booths, and work areas in line with safety standards.
- Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an Automotive Paint Sprayer, Vehicle Paint Technician, Bodyshop Paint Sprayer, or Vehicle Refinisher.
- Strong background in wet spraying and paint application within an automotive bodyshop environment.
- Experience in panel preparation, including sanding, masking, filling, and surface correction.
- Ability to spray large vehicle bodies, commercial vehicles, buses, military vehicles, plant machinery, or similar heavy-duty equipment.
- Knowledge of primers, top coats, paint mixing, and surface finishing techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of safe handling procedures for paints, coatings, and related materials.
Desirable
- Previous experience within Defence, Aerospace, Commercial Vehicle, Rail, or Heavy Manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with military vehicle production or refurbishment programmes.
- Relevant vehicle refinishing, paint spraying, or body repair qualifications.

Are you an experienced Commercial Officer or Contracts professional looking for your next opportunity in a highly regulated industry?
We are recruiting for a Commercial Officer to join a busy commercial team supporting a range of complex defence and engineering contracts. This is an excellent opportunity to work across the full contract lifecycle, from bid support through to contract delivery and completion, while developing your commercial and contractual expertise within a fast paced environment.
This is an initial 6 to 9 month temporary assignment with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right person.
The role
As Commercial Officer, you will provide commercial and contractual support across a portfolio of projects, working closely with internal teams, customers and suppliers. You will help ensure contracts are commercially sound, compliant and effectively managed throughout their lifecycle.
This role would suit someone with previous commercial contracts experience who enjoys building relationships, negotiating agreements and supporting business growth while managing commercial risk.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the commercial aspects of major contracts and act as a key commercial contact.
- Support the full contract lifecycle including tendering, contract award, contract changes, delivery and contract close out.
- Prepare, review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts and commercial agreements.
- Work with bid and sales teams to provide commercial input into proposals and tenders.
- Ensure contractual obligations are flowed down to suppliers where required.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and support the development of appropriate strategies.
- Attend customer and supplier meetings to provide commercial guidance.
- Advise internal stakeholders on commercial matters and contract compliance.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of commercial processes, templates and governance documentation.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a Commercial Officer, Contracts Officer or Contract Management role.
- Experience working within defence, aerospace, manufacturing, engineering or another highly regulated industry would be advantageous.
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing commercial contracts.
- Knowledge of contract management principles and commercial risk.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- A proactive approach with strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of export regulations would be beneficial but is not essential.
