Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

Yamazaki Mazak Laser HQ is seeking to strengthen and grow the Optonics division through the recruitment of an Application Engineer. The HQ based Applications Engineer role will provide specialist applications engineering support within the European Laser Engineering organisation. Reporting to the Product Manager for Optonics Europe, the role supports the strategic development of the company's Laser and OPTONICS product range by enabling the preparation of machine data, software parameters, and technical documentation for pre sales activities, and by delivering ongoing training and technical support to EU YMX and International Partner Suppliers.

Please note that the role is based at the Worcester facility however successful candidate will be required to undertake both UK and Overseas travel in support of the responsibilities outlined below.

  • Reporting directly to the Product Manager for Optonics Europe the key responsibilities are as follows:
  • Support the development of bend/cut conditions and technical data for Mazak and Optonics machine ranges.
  • Support the development of education materials and deliver effective training for YMX Sales and Applications Engineers for Mazak and Optonics machine range of products.
  • Develop and deliver effective training for Mazak and Optonics selected CAD/CAM Systems and updates as required.
  • Support the development of effective machine demonstrations to clearly show the key features, benefits, and performance of the Optonics range of products. This will also include supporting respective YMX applications teams with customer demonstrations upon request.
  • Provide Software Support for YMX on the full range of Mazak CAD/Cam and Line Controller systems
  • Assist collaboration with third party suppliers, ESO and EPC on research and implementation of projects for new Optonics and Software Products

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

  • Broad CNC Sheet Metal Processing experience including Bending and Laser cutting.
  • Knowledge of laser cutting conditions in various material types & thicknesses
  • Knowledge of Laser and Bending CAD/CAM systems.
  • Clear communication skills at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving ability, together with a flexible approach to a varied workload in a challenging environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • An engineering qualification to HNC/HND level

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Deburrer / Linisher to join our clients manufacturing team. Working within the finishing department, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing a range of precision-engineered metal components to the required quality standards before inspection and dispatch.

This role would suit someone with previous experience in a precision engineering, fabrication, aerospace, automotive, or general manufacturing environment who takes pride in producing high-quality finished components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deburr and finish machined and fabricated metal components using hand and power tools.
  • Operate linishing and polishing equipment to achieve the required surface finish.
  • Remove sharp edges, burrs and machining marks while maintaining dimensional integrity.
  • Work from engineering drawings and job instructions where required.
  • Carry out visual inspections to ensure components meet customer quality standards.
  • Use a variety of finishing equipment including hand grinders, orbital sanders, files and abrasive wheels.
  • Ensure components are cleaned, labelled and prepared for the next stage of manufacture.
  • Report any defects, damaged components or quality concerns to the Team Leader.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment in line with 5S and health & safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement activities within the finishing department.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Deburrer, Linisher, Metal Finisher or Fettler within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience finishing steel, stainless steel or aluminium components.
  • Ability to use a range of hand-held finishing tools safely and effectively.
  • Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
  • Able to read basic engineering drawings (desirable).
  • Experience working to tight tolerances would be advantageous.
  • Good manual dexterity and practical skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Are you an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver seeking a new job opportunity, are you happy working 12 hour days or night shifts and do you hold an ITSSAR or RTITB or Brittop accredited license that is currently within 3 or 5 years?!

We are actively seeking several FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join a leading food manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire, this role is a fixed term contract with the company and is likely to last until the end of March 2027.

The shift pattern available is as followed:

    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (and every other Sunday) 12hr days shifts- £13.31ph
    • Thursday, Friday & Saturday (and every other Sunday) - (12 hour day shifts) - £13.31ph
    • Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (and every other Saturday)- 12hr night shifts- £15.13ph

The hiring manager is looking for people who have a minimum of 12 months experience driving a counterbalance forklift truck.

They are keen to interview as soon as possible with the aim of people starting week commencing 3rd of August. 

 

What You Will Do:

  • Operate the Counterbalance truck in line with Health & Safety regulations, ensuring safe and careful manoeuvring in a busy warehouse.
  • Move goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport, including unloading deliveries and relocating items to their designated storage locations.
  • Keep forklift areas free from obstructions and contribute to a clean, hazard-free working environment.
  • Regularly check the Counterbalance truck for faults or damage and escalate any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to support smooth warehouse operations and timely order movement.
  • Follow company procedures and use the correct PPE for the task to maintain a high standard of hygiene and presentation.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • An accredited Counterbalance forklift licence that has been refreshed or passed within the last 3 to 5 years. 
  • At least 12 months experience operating a Counterbalance forklift or Combi truck in a busy warehouse setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality, with a dependable attitude and a commitment to reliability.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without restrictions.

About the Role

As an Onsite Customer Support and Onboarding Executive you will become the main point of contact for veterinary practices after they purchase the software.

This is a remote role with extensive travel throughout your allocated region.

If you are not onsite for a full week, you will be expected to attend the office in Shropshire one day each week on either Monday or Tuesday.

Flexibility is essential as some onsite training days will be longer depending on customer requirements.
