Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Production Project Manager to lead the development of innovative products from concept through to production. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead New Product Development (NPD) initiatives by coordinating R&D teams across research, electrical, software, mechanical testing, and production.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with ISO standards and company processes.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to resolve project challenges and ensure requirements are met.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans using tools such as JIRA and SharePoint, setting sprints and tracking progress.
  • Conduct and lead project meetings with both project teams and senior leadership, providing regular performance updates.
  • Actively contribute to project tasks where necessary, providing hands-on guidance to overcome challenges and drive progress.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plan and allocate resources, including team members and hardware requirements, as needed.
  • Transition R&D projects smoothly into production while coordinating with production teams to meet timelines and budget requirements.

Job Description

The Role

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for carrying out a range of duties to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring that all warehouse processes are conducted safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking Transfer orders
  • Pick all requested Transfer orders in accordance with Productions daily requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy in picking and packing to minimize errors and adapt a RFT culture.
  • Prepare orders for delivery, including labelling and documentation.

Inventory Management

 

  • Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Participate in inventory audits as required.

Health and Safety

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Warehouse Team leader/Supervisor.

General Duties

  • Assist in Daily activity of 5s and maintain a high level of cleanliness of the warehouse.
  • Provide support to other warehouse staff when required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations.

Kanban

  • Understands Kanban route and can audit compliance of racks to standard.
  • Able to create transfer orders for Kanban in AX.
  • Competent in interrogating AX to understand stock and purchase order transactions and history.
  • Competent communicator across the business to progress and chase deliveries when stock is low.
  • Able to identify problems of discrepancies of usage in Kanban setup.

Person Specification

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred.

Maintenance Engineer - Electrical

Excellent opportunity for an electrically biased maintenance engineer to join an established maintenance team at a professional and reputable manufacturing company in Birmingham. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Undertake front line repairs and perform both predicative and preventative
  • maintenance activities to minimise plant downtime, increase machine reliability
  • Maintain a wide range of manufacturing equipment and ancillary equipment ranging from large machinery to site services.
  • To operate in a structured environment complying to the maintenance schedule to drive quality.

We’re looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a key role in developing and implementing a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule. The Role

  • As Senior Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineer, you will take technical ownership of mechanical and electrical engineering activities across commercial production lines. Working closely with international partners, external engineering consultancies, and key suppliers, you will influence design decisions from concept through to commissioning.
  • You will be trusted as a technical authority, balancing innovation with safety, compliance, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical and electrical engineering activities supporting the detailed design and development of commercial-scale production lines
  • Collaborate with US and EU partners and UK-based engineering consultants across the full project lifecycle—from concept, through installation and commissioning
  • Produce, review, and challenge in-house mechanical and electrical designs using modern CAD tools, delivering high-quality drawing packs including:
  • Manufacturing drawings
  • General arrangements and sub-assemblies
  • P&IDs, PFDs, single-line diagrams, and service connection drawings
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest engineering and quality standards
  • Lead prototyping and design verification testing to support optimisation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with module suppliers and leading electrical equipment providers (e.g. ABB, Siemens, Rockwell) on equipment design, manufacture, and control software packages
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations (ISO, IEC, ASME/ASTM, CE, UKCA, ATEX, etc.)
  • Integrate new technologies into existing and future production lines, supporting fault-finding and performance enhancement
  • Develop and review maintenance schedules for in-house modules
  • Support the ongoing development, maintenance, and operation of the UK pilot plant
  • Occasionally travel internationally to customer sites to support installation, commissioning, and start-up activities

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Experience designing plant machinery within chemical, process, or heavy industrial environments
  • Proven experience in a senior engineering role, demonstrating leadership and successful project delivery
  • Strong electro-mechanical design capability, including production of manufacturing drawings and P&IDs
  • Knowledge of machinery design for explosive environments (ATEX) and participation in HAZOP studies
  • Working knowledge of international standards and regulations (ISO, IEC, ASME/ASTM, CE, UKCA, PED, ATEX)
  • Understanding of industrial control systems, including PLC/HMI concepts, three-phase motors, and VFDs
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks certification preferred)
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Experience leading R&D or advanced engineering projects
  • Desirable (but not essential):
  • Experience in pyrolysis systems or thermal processing technologies
  • Background in tyre recycling or End-of-Life materials processing
  • Control system design experience
