What You Will Do:

• Lead the strategic migration and decommissioning of legacy Alteryx workflows by 2027, ensuring a seamless transition to modern tools.
• Analyse operational data to uncover trends, develop actionable insights, and create data-driven recommendations for process optimisation.
• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps, integrating them with core platforms like Salesforce.
• Collaborate with various departments to map, optimise, and document workflows, ensuring processes are streamlined.
• Provide expert support and training on AI tools, helping operational teams maximise their effectiveness.
• Work closely with compliance, product, and engineering teams to ensure data quality and adherence to regulations during migrations and integrations.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience in data analysis and visualisation, with proficiency in SQL and tools like Power BI.
• Hands-on expertise in ETL processes and data migration, with desirable experience in Alteryx or similar tools.
• Demonstrated ability to implement automation solutions using low-code platforms such as Power Automate or Power Apps.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, including data extraction, report generation, and integration with external tools.
• Strong project management skills, particularly in time-bound migration or systems-transition projects.
• Direct experience leading a software decommissioning or tool-migration project would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead R&D and technical development projects across multiple product lines
  • Drive new product development, formulation development, product testing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage product performance, technical validation, compliance and certification activities
  • Provide technical leadership across manufacturing, production, quality, supply chain and commercial teams
  • Support process improvement, troubleshooting and manufacturing efficiency projects within a fast-paced production environment
  • Coordinate laboratory testing, product trials and external certification programmes
  • Support technical analysis, product performance investigations and development activities
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers and industry stakeholders to strengthen technical credibility and support commercial growth

  • Mentor and develop a small technical and quality team

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree qualified in Chemistry – ESSENTIAL
  • Additional qualifications or experience within Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or Product Development would be highly advantageous
  • Proven experience within a Technical Manager, R&D Manager, Product Development Manager, Senior Technologist, Development Chemist or similar technical leadership role
  • Strong background in manufacturing, technical products, industrial materials, coatings, polymers, packaging, construction products or related sectors
  • Experience leading R&D programmes, formulation development and technical innovation projects
  • Experience with product testing, certification, compliance and quality management systems
  • Commercially aware with the ability to support business growth, innovation and product strategy
  • Strong leadership, project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Hands-on, proactive and solutions-driven approach within a manufacturing environment
  • Dynamic, forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement and technology

The Role:

  • You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and servicing equipment at customer sites across the UK and EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Installation and commissioning of electro-mechanical and automated equipment
  • Fault finding across electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Working with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and P&ID drawings

  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, or Commissioning Engineer
  • Strong electrical bias with supporting mechanical knowledge
  • Experience working with PLC-controlled systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar)
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, pneumatics, or steam systems
  • Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 25-30%)
