Step into a role where creativity meets engineering rigour: the NPD Engineer position is all about turning great ideas into reliable products. Working within a fast-moving New Product Development (NPD) environment, you will play a direct part in designing, testing, and launching product improvements that genuinely matter. If you enjoy problem-solving, documentation, and collaborating across teams, the NPD Engineer role offers a rewarding pathway to broaden technical depth and strengthen industry experience.
What You Will Do:
- Design new products and product enhancements that align with customer needs and business objectives.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings and the technical documentation required for production.
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical specifications to support smooth manufacturing.
- Develop and support prototypes, including assembly and product testing, validation, and verification.
- Investigate design issues, implement corrective actions, and support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure component selection is manufacturable, reliable, and commercially viable.
What You Will Bring:
- A degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Product Design Engineering.
- Strong experience using CAD software and an understanding of engineering drawings and tolerancing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and materials, with a practical, quality-focused mindset.

- Excellent communication and organisation skills, with competence in Microsoft Office and structured engineering documentation.
This NPD Engineer role supports this company's wider goals by strengthening product reliability and making sure designs are not only innovative, but also manufacturable and commercially sensible. As part of a cross-functional approach, the NPD Engineer contributes to better collaboration across Manufacturing, Procurement, Service, and Quality, helping to improve product lifecycles from concept through production release and ongoing support.
