Compliance Consultant x2
Location: Whitley
Contract: 6-12 month contracts
Rate: £28.53 per hour (Umbrella) - Inside IR35

We are currently recruiting for two Compliance Consultants to join an established HR team based at Whitley.
Working as part of a team of four and reporting to the Process Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of compliant, end-to-end processes for Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), Pre-Action Protocols (PAPs) and other information requests from employees and third parties, including solicitors, Jobcentre Plus and the Department for Work and Pensions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver DSAR, PAP and other information requests in line with GDPR requirements and statutory deadlines.
- Review and analyse employee and business data to support accurate and compliant responses.
- Assess information requests and make appropriate risk-based decisions.
- Prioritise and manage a varied workload, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the wider organisation.
- Identify and resolve issues that could impact the successful delivery of requests.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality, integrity and accuracy when handling sensitive information.
Key Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar compliance, data, HR or sensitive business environment.
- Good understanding of Data Subject Access Rights, particularly the right of access under GDPR.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make timely, risk-based decisions.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging with stakeholders at different levels.
- Good influencing and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Excel skills, particularly for analysing employee data and producing activity reports.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- Resilient, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Experience
- HR Shared Services experience.
- Experience working with People Data systems, such as SuccessFactors.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat and its various tools.
- Project management experience, particularly where technical or process issues may impact statutory deadlines.
Education
- A relevant degree, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
