This company is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer -  to join its dynamic team and play a pivotal role in designing and developing powertrain components and systems. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will:

  • Use advanced CAD tools to develop 3D models and detailed drawings for powertrain components and assemblies, including some surfacing work.
  • Ensure product designs meet performance, reliability, and safety standards for both manufacturing and end-users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer specifications and drive product development.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analyse technical data to solve problems and support product innovation.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will bring: 

  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, combined with experience in product design or development.
  • Proficiency in designing mechanical parts and systems, with a focus on powertrain, drivetrain, or hydraulics.
  • Expertise in using 3D CAD software (NX, Creo and/or Catia) to create detailed models and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and the ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
