We're partnering with a successful and expanding technical manufacturing business that's looking for a Senior Account Manager to take ownership of key customer accounts and play a central role in its future growth.
Working alongside an experienced Business Development Manager who opens the doors, you'll be responsible for growing existing accounts, converting opportunities into orders and becoming the trusted commercial partner for your customers.

The Role
As Senior Account Manager, you'll act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key customers, ensuring an exceptional level of service from initial enquiry through to delivery and ongoing account development.
Working collaboratively across Technical, Operations and Commercial teams, you'll manage quotations, convert opportunities into orders and build trusted relationships that deliver long term business growth.
You'll also have the opportunity to visit customers, strengthen existing partnerships and identify new commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of key customer accounts.
- Build strong, long term relationships with customers, becoming their trusted commercial partner.
- Work alongside the Business Development Manager to convert new opportunities into long term business.
- Prepare, manage and proactively follow up quotations to maximise conversion rates.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through cross-selling, upselling and account development.
- Manage the full customer journey from enquiry through to delivery and after sales support.
- Work closely with Technical, Operations and Production teams to ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
- Translate customer requirements into clear internal briefs.
- Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records using the company's ERP system.
- Produce sales forecasts and commercial reports to support business planning.
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded Account Manager who combines excellent relationship building skills with a genuine passion for growing customer accounts.
You'll be confident managing multiple stakeholders, comfortable discussing technical products and motivated by delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving commercial results.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience in a Senior Account Manager, Key Account Manager or Technical Account Manager role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment.
- A strong track record of developing customer relationships and growing existing accounts.
- Experience preparing quotations and successfully converting opportunities into orders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.
- The ability to build relationships across technical, operational and commercial teams.
- A proactive, ambitious and solutions-focused approach.
- The confidence to represent the business during customer visits.
