Maintenance Engineer

Excellent new opportunity for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's inclusive and professional team. This full-time Maintenance role is based as a large and modern facility in the Midlands and offers an attractive salary of over £53K and good benefits. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall mechanical and electrical maintenance of automated plant equipment, robots and facilities, ensuring production is supported.

Shift: Working 8-hour shifts rotating am, pm Mon – Fri. (Double days)
Salary: £53 - 54K

As Maintenance Engineer, you can expect to carry out the following duties:

• Effective electrical and mechanical repair of automated machines
• Root cause analysis on breakdowns and provide reports with suggested improvements
• Facilitate Preventative Maintenance schedules and make recommendations for improvement
• Effective fault finding and service of machines and ancillary equipment

You must be apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or level 3 equivalent. You will also require the following:

• A minimum level 3 C&G craft qualification or NVQ qualification in a related discipline
• The ability to carry out mechanical and electrical service of equipment
• Experience working with robots and associated automated plant machinery is required
• Effective fault finding from electrical schematics on 3 phase electrical systems
• Confident fault-finding PLC’s

Current or recent experience as multi-skilled maintenance engineer, shift maintenance engineer, maintenance technician, service engineer, electrical maintenance engineer, automated plant equipment, automated manufacturing such as Tier 1 automotive
