Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Role....We’re looking for a qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business in the Kidderminster area. This is a great opportunity to step into a highly skilled team of maintenance engineers with a structured onboarding program. Location: Kidderminster
Salary: £52,149 per annum + overtime (earnings up to £60,000+)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days & Nights (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)
The Role:
- Carry out mechanical maintenance on heavy plant and production equipment
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
- Diagnose faults across hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Perform bearing fitting and alignment
- Maintain high safety and quality standards in a safety-critical environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement and downtime reduction
- Work collaboratively within a shift-based engineering team
About You:
You’ll be a mechanically biased engineer with:
- Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in heavy industry or manufacturing environments
- Strong fault-finding skills across hydraulics, pneumatics & drive systems
- Experience with bearing fitting & alignment
- Arc & MIG welding and basic fabrication skills
- Knowledge of cutting and grinding safety regulations
You will have current or recent experience mechanical fitting, fabrication, welding, and plant servicing, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical fitter, mechancial technician, mechanical maintenance fitting, multi-skilled maintenance engineer, mechanical maintenance technician, maintenance technician.
