What You Will Do:
- Lead the creation and management of annual and multi-year budgets across two manufacturing sites, ensuring financial performance aligns with strategic goals.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis for manufactured parts, ensuring accurate pricing, margin control, and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support customer pricing, quotations, and commercial negotiations, strengthening key relationships.
- Support the Board with long-term planning, investment cases, and commercial strategy, presenting financial insights and recommendations.
- Mentor finance staff, implement forecasting tools, and contribute to building a high-performance finance function across multiple locations.
- Work with suppliers and service providers to negotiate cost-effective solutions and improve financial efficiency.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in commercial finance, financial operations, and cost analysis within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong P&L management skills with a track record of improving gross margin performance.
- Possess accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems such as Sage, Xero, or SAP.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- A driving licence is essential, as the role requires travel between the Dartford and Tewkesbury sites.
