Quality Inspector – Focus on Supplier Parts Inspection, Auditing & Final Vehicle Quality

Working a day shift os 08:00 - 16:30 Mon to Thurs and 15:10 on Friday

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Parts Inspection

• Carry out detailed inspection of supplier‑delivered components to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Perform dimensional checks, material verification, and documentation review to ensure full conformity.
• Record and report supplier quality issues, supporting the Supplier Quality team in managing vendor performance.

In‑Process & Patrol Inspection

• Conduct routine patrol, batch, and in‑process inspections across production areas to maintain consistent product quality.
• Monitor critical characteristics and support teams in resolving quality concerns at the point of manufacture.

Final Inspection on Vehicles

• Complete comprehensive final inspections on assembled vehicles prior to customer release.
• Verify installation accuracy, functionality, compliance with build documents, and overall product condition.
• Approve finished vehicles for dispatch or escalate issues through the non-conformance process.

Quality Auditing & Compliance

• Support internal process audits and ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 and company quality procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying risks, recommending corrective actions, and supporting root cause analysis.

Quality Data & Reporting

• Accurately record inspection results, maintain traceability documentation, and ensure data integrity.
• Communicate quality performance trends to production, engineering, and supplier teams.
• Raise and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and segregate non‑conforming material.

What You Bring

• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, auditing practices, and inspection techniques.
• Experience with supplier component inspection and final product acceptance, ideally within automotive, defence, or advanced manufacturing.
• Confidence interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for documentation and reporting.
• Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and compliance reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining world‑class quality standards.
