Production Technician
Location: Telford
Salary: Starting salary of £35,115 per annum (rising to £43,486 once key competency levels are achieved)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – 12-hour rotating shifts (Days & Nights, including weekends)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a forward‑thinking, technology‑led manufacturing team in Telford, working with world‑class, fully automated equipment.
This role is ideal for an experienced Production Technician who enjoys being technically hands-on — operating machinery, adjusting parameters, optimising performance, and driving continuous improvement on fast‑moving production lines.
Please note: This is a 2-stage interview process, with the first stage consisting of a numeracy and literacy assessment on site in Telford, Shropshire.

The role:
As a Production Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining performance, quality, and efficiency across your assigned production line.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating and maintaining state‑of‑the‑art, fully automated production machinery
- Taking ownership of your line: training operators, overseeing outputs, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day running
- Setting up equipment, adjusting machine parameters, monitoring performance, and optimising outputs
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical or process issues to minimise downtime
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reliability, and quality
- Running lines to SOPs, including start‑ups, shutdowns, changeovers, and quality checks
- Ensuring full compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards
What We’re Looking for:
- Proven experience operating production machinery, including adjusting settings and parameters to maintain quality and efficiency
- A technically minded individual with a strong interest in machinery, automation, and fault‑finding
- Comfortable working hands‑on in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- A flexible, proactive team player who performs well under pressure
- Enthusiasm for learning new technology and contributing to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
- Clear communication skills and the confidence to challenge processes or seek technical support when required
- Experience in food, FMCG, or processing environments is desirable, but not essential
