HR Administrator – Front‑of‑House & Administrative Support
Temporary role, paying £14.40ph

This HR Administrator position places you at the forefront of a busy, dynamic organisation—where your welcoming presence and attention to detail help keep operations running smoothly. Based full‑time on site in Coventry, you’ll play a vital part in creating a positive first impression for visitors and ensuring the HR function is supported with accurate and efficient administrative work. This is a temporary front of house cover position with a potential to extend.
What You Will Do
Front‑of‑House & Reception Cover
- Deliver a warm, professional reception service, greeting visitors and ensuring they feel welcomed and well‑informed.
- Act as the first point of contact for all incoming calls, directing queries, taking messages, and providing clear information using the Microsoft Teams phone system.
- Manage reception duties including handling incoming and outgoing mail, organising couriers, and maintaining a tidy, presentable front‑of‑house area.
Administrative & Data Entry Responsibilities
- Carry out accurate data entry across HR systems, training records, time and attendance updates, and general documentation.
- Support scheduling activities such as booking interviews, arranging appointments, and maintaining diaries for the HR team.
- Assist with preparing meeting rooms, arranging catering, and ensuring all logistics are in place.
- Provide general administrative support including filing, photocopying, minute‑taking, and maintaining organised records.
Additional Support Duties
- Assist with training administration tasks such as researching courses, collecting costings, booking training sessions, and maintaining training documentation.
- Support travel booking for staff below executive level, ensuring authorisations and compliance are in place.
- Contribute to event coordination, including organising venues, suppliers, and post‑event follow‑ups.
What You Will Bring
- Experience in an administrative or reception‑based role, ideally within a busy office environment.
- Strong data‑entry accuracy and confidence working across multiple systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with a friendly, professional manner when dealing with visitors and callers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work independently.
- A proactive, flexible attitude and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Location & Hours
This is a 100% site‑based role located in Coventry, with working hours of:
Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:35
Friday: 08:00–15:10
