Job details

Production Planner / Planning Coordinator

Kidderminster, Onsite

Manufacturing, Fabrication and Engineering

Salary is dependant on experience.

Be at the heart of the factory. Shape the plan. Keep production moving.

The Role

This is a hands-on planning role where you'll play a key part in keeping our factory running smoothly. You'll coordinate the flow of work and materials across departments, turning production schedules into action and ensuring priorities are clear, realistic, and delivered.

You'll be the link between planning, production, and operations, making sure everyone is aligned and the plan stays on track, even when things change.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinating work and material flow across the factory to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
  • Reviewing MRP recommendations and issuing clear production work orders and delivery schedules
  • Communicating closely with production, line leaders, and support teams to ensure plans are achieved
  • Creating and managing production work orders for the entire factory
  • Carrying out daily, weekly, and monthly EFACS system maintenance
  • Attending daily production meetings and actively supporting problem-solving on the shop floor
  • Monitoring production to spot potential issues early and help resolve them quickly
  • Managing urgent and priority requirements to ensure they receive the right focus
  • Supporting quotation routing and new project setup, including creating routes for new products
  • Producing weekly and monthly performance reports for the Operations Manager
  • Working alongside the Senior Planner to help develop and improve planning systems and processes

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in planning, production control, or a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems and production planning
  • A background in fabrication or similar manufacturing environments is highly desirable
  • Confident with numbers, data, and computer systems
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling changing priorities
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating to improve processes and ways of working

Qualifications

  • Formal MRP or planning training would be an advantage, but not essential
  • A practical, hands-on mindset with a willingness to learn and develop

Why Join

You'll be joining a business where planning genuinely matters. This role offers visibility, influence, and the opportunity to shape how production is planned and delivered, not just follow a process.

If you enjoy being at the centre of operations, solving problems, and making things happen, this is a role where you can really make your mark
