Maintenance Engineer

A food manufacturing business are actively recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. Working a 4 on 4 off days shift pattern, conducting routine & reactive maintenance on food processing machinery. You will have experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within fast paced manufacturing environments, also have recognised engineering qualifications. 

Shift 4 on 4 off days- 12 hour shifts

Salary £38,500 to £42,500 plus Benefits 

What You Will Do:

- Conduct planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of all equipment on site to ensure seamless operations.

- Assist in identifying areas for improvement within production processes, equipment reliability, energy, and resource usage.

- Support the production team with timely completion of projects and upgrade works.

- Maintain the site's electrical installation and other services as required.

- Uphold company procedures and legal requirements while working within a dynamic environment.

- Collaborate with the Head of Engineering to ensure the general upkeep and appearance of the building and site.

What You Will Bring:

- NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent, with a minimum of two years' experience in a fast-paced environment.

- Proven experience in electrical systems, with some PLC knowledge being advantageous.

- Expertise in refrigeration plant and control systems is preferred.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work proactively under pressure.

- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
