Technical Manager

What You Will Do:

- Lead and manage the site Technical function, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to food safety standards and customer specifications.

- Recruit, train, and develop Quality department, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

- Support external audits, including BRCGS and retailer audits, ensuring all processes meet stringent standards.

- Oversee internal audit schedules and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.

- Collaborate with Operations to monitor and audit technical processes, ensuring customer requirements are consistently met.

- Review product specifications, packaging, and ingredients to ensure compliance with customer expectations.

- Investigate and coordinate responses to customer complaints of a technical nature, ensuring effective action plans are implemented.

What You Will Bring:

- Advanced qualifications in Food Safety and HACCP (Level 4) and an internal auditing certification.

- Proven leadership skills with experience motivating and managing teams.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels.

- Knowledge and experience of major retailer requirements and food manufacturing standards.

- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to maintaining quality and compliance.
