Our client an established manufacturer is seeking a proactive and hands-on Production Supervisor to join their team and drive operational excellence. The Opportunity
Production Supervisor will oversee daily production operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you will use your expertise in welding and fabrication to provide technical guidance and support the development of our production staff. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and shape a growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day factory operations, ensuring production targets and deadlines are met.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team, providing direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and manage labour resources effectively.
- Apply knowledge of welding and fabrication to support problem-solving, training, and technical guidance on the shop floor.
- Implement and maintain 5S and other lean manufacturing practices to ensure a clean, efficient, and well-organized work environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Monitor production data and performance metrics, reporting progress and recommending solutions to enhance operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to manufacturing standards, quality control procedures, and safety regulations.
What You'll Need (Essential)
- Proven supervisory or team-lead experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Experience implementing or maintaining 5S and lean process improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, increase efficiency, and reduce downtime.
- Previous experience in a high-output or fast-paced manufacturing operation.
- Experience working with production planning systems or manufacturing reporting tools.
Current or recent roles held might include production manager, shift supervisor, factory supervisor, factory lead, production lead, cell leader, section leader, team leader, shift supervisor, shift team leader
