Electrical Design Engineer – £38,000 + Benefits

Full-Time | Permanent based in Shrewsbury

A leading manufacturer of material handling and lifting equipment is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.

Working days Monday - Friday

Role Overview

• Create electrical schematics using SEE Electrical CAD
• PLC wiring diagrams, I/O schedules & panel layouts
• Parts lists/BOM creation and ordering components
• Safety circuit design (BS EN ISO 13849/60261)
• LV distribution/cable calculations (as required)
• Technical documentation & project support
• Fault-finding on existing systems
• Occasional travel, late working or weekend work

Requirements

• 5+ years electrical engineering experience
• 3+ years system design experience
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with SEE Electrical CAD
• Understanding of PLC/HMI/SCADA systems
• Knowledge of industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet)
• Clean driving licence
• Siemens PLC experience beneficial (training provided)

Current or recent experience design engineer, controls engineer, electrical controls engineer or design engineer – electrical.
