Junior Maintenance Engineer

A large food manufacturer are seeking a Junior Maintenance Engineer to join their innovative and forward-thinking team. Salary £35,000 to £38,500 plus Benefits 

Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off days & nights

What You Will Do:

- Optimise machinery output and product quality while minimising plant downtime through preventative maintenance and efficient breakdown response.

- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, identifying root causes and suggesting improvements to prevent future issues.

- Collaborate with the operations team to minimise disruptions and maintain productivity.

- Ensure all engineering activities align with health and safety guidelines, promoting a safe working environment.

- Follow good engineering and hygiene practices to uphold the company's standards.

- Report health, safety, and environmental issues promptly and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

What You Will Bring:

- Experience as a machine minder or technical operator, or a keen interest in developing a career in engineering.

- Practical ability to operate within a fast-paced FMCG factory environment.

- Numerical and reasoning skills sufficient to meet entry-level requirements for a technical apprenticeship.

- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Self-motivation and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
