Purchasing Coordinator

A growing FMCG manufacturer are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join their supply chain team. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, re-ordering new materials and working closely with production to maintain the correct levels to meet demand. This role will suit someone who has experience working within a fast paced manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of supply chain process. 

Salary £28,000 to £33,000 plus Benefits 

What You Will Do:

- Ensure the supply of materials meets production schedules while maintaining minimum stock levels for operational continuity.

- Manage day-to-day order handling and supplier delivery scheduling with precision.

- Assess volume requirements and plan supply needs accordingly, ensuring smooth operations.

- Pro actively identify and mitigate risks that could impact production schedules.

- Utilise IT systems such as Sage, WMS, and supplier portals to ensure data accuracy and resolve issues efficiently.

- Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and complete deliveries.

What You Will Bring:

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.

- Excellent organisational and planning abilities to meet deadlines and ensure operational efficiency.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills to pro actively address challenges and optimise processes.

- Commercial and financial awareness to understand the impact of supply chain decisions.

- Previous experience working within Purchasing or Planning within a manufacturing environment.
