Facilities Engineer
Rate: £19.07/hr PAYE (Inside IR35)

What You Will Do:
• Perform essential handyman duties, including basic plumbing, furniture assembly, decorating, and erecting shelving.
• Provide front-line support to the business, responding to breakdowns and emergency situations promptly.
• Assist in planning and executing modifications, refurbishments, and upgrades to laboratories and facilities.
• Drive the company van for deliveries and collections, ensuring smooth operations across sites.
• Collaborate with contractors to manage maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety policies.
• Monitor energy usage and contribute to sustainability initiatives with suggestions for energy-saving measures.
What You Will Bring:
• Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance experience.
• GCSE qualifications, including English and Maths.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Intermediate IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to troubleshoot or diagnose faults.
• Knowledge or experience of Building Management Systems (BMS) with understanding of Trend systems.
• Knowledge of Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) diagnostics and repair would be an advantage.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience in a similar facilities or hands-on role.
As the business grows, they are keen to find someone providing skills that supplements the existing team. This might include expertise in one of the following areas:
• Carpentry and joinery skills
• Plumbing skills / HVAC
• Experience of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Trend systems.
