CNC Setter

Working 07:00 - 15:00 Monday to Friday and 07:00 - 12:00 Friday paying £19.22 per hour plus overtime.  

What You Will Do:

- Operate and set CNC turning machines, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering specifications.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings to deliver high-quality components that meet exact requirements.

- Conduct "Start of Work" machine inspections and report any faults or unusual occurrences using approved procedures.

- Measure, examine, and inspect components using precision instruments such as micrometres and verniers to ensure conformance to specifications.

- Input production tickets onto SAP upon task completion and assist in training semi-skilled machinists or new starters as needed.

- Maintain a clean and orderly work area while upholding the company's Environmental Health & Safety policies.

What You Will Bring:

- Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with expertise in running CNC Turning machines.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and adapting positively to changing conditions.

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tasks.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across all levels of the business.

- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2-3 in Engineering/Machining or a machining apprenticeship.
