Location: Telford (Office-Based)

Salary: Up to £70,000 

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday with an early finish every Friday

 

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join a growing organisation based in Telford. This is a key role with full responsibility for end-to-end supply chain operations, including import/export logistics, planning, inventory control, and supplier coordination.

We are seeking a proactive leader with strong commercial awareness and a proven track record in managing international supply chains. Import/export experience is essential for this role.

 

The Role

As Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee planning, logistics, and inventory management across a fast-paced operation. You'll lead a small team, streamline processes, and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery to customers. This role is fully office-based and offers a supportive team environment with a 12pm finish every Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day supply chain activities
  • Ensure full compliance with import/export and customs regulations
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Oversee inventory management, stock levels, and reporting
  • Drive supply chain improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Manage team performance and resource planning
  • Collaborate with departments such as operations, sales, and finance
  • Take ownership of departmental budgets and supplier contracts
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership

     

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain Manager or Logistics Manager role
  • Strong background in import/export operations
  • Sound understanding of planning, logistics, and stock control
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
