Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Professional and established FMCG seeking a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their expanding team at their site in Telford. Working 4 on 4 off, this role offers a very competitive remuneration package to include a salary of £55K. You will be working on modern and well-maintained equipment involving service, maintenance and installation, demonstrating strong electrical and PLC fault fining skills as well as good understanding of mechanical systems.

What You Will Do:

• Perform reactive, planned preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks, providing detailed feedback on root causes and solutions via CMMS.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in working areas and workshops to ensure a safe and organised environment.
• Procure engineering spares and consumables as required, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Diagnose faults and carry out maintenance and repairs on various plant and equipment, returning machinery to operational service promptly.
• Provide holiday cover for colleagues, ensuring smooth operations during shift rotations with a minimum of two weeks’ notice.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven mechanical and electrical engineering expertise, supported by NVQ, BTEC, or C&G qualifications (HNC is advantageous).
• Apprenticeship training and electrical qualifications, with prior experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve maintenance issues under pressure.
• Candidates with military / armed forces background is also considered to include Army, RAF and Navy

You will have current or recent experience as maintenance engineer, maintenance technician, multi-skilled engineer, multi-skilled maintenance engineer, electrical maintenance engineer, electrical technician, mechanical fitter, electrical or shift engineer, mechanical maintenance engineer, service engineer
