A large FMCG manufacturer are looking for Single Skilled Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its forward-thinking team. Working a rotating days & night shift pattern this role is perfect for someone looking to make a real impact in the engineering field. Salary £40,000 to £48,000 dependent on experience

Shift pattern 2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off 2 on 3 off- 12 hour shifts days & nights rotating

What You Will Do:

 

- Optimise machinery output and product quality while minimising plant downtime through effective preventative maintenance.

- Respond quickly and effectively to mechanical, electrical, and PLC control breakdowns, identifying root causes and suggesting improvements.

- Lead teams within specific areas or zones and deputise for the Engineering Shift Manager when required.

- Maintain compliance with company and legislative health and safety guidelines, promoting good engineering practices.

- Mentor and support Level 1 to 3 Maintenance Engineers and Apprentices, fostering growth and development.

- Manage contractors and ensure all engineering activities align with communicated schedules and standards.

 

What You Will Bring:

 

- Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering, or HNC, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.

- Proven expertise in electrical and control engineering, with knowledge of PLC programming.

- Experience working with process machinery and the ability to troubleshoot and fault-find effectively.

- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate teams and make timely decisions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a self-motivated approach to work.
