Product Test Engineer - Power Electronics - University of Warwick - 36223437 - £27.30/hr - Inside IR35
What You Will Do:
- Deliver engineering support for power electronics testing, focusing on inverters and E-machines.
- Collaborate with technical teams, including academia and third-party engineers, to understand and execute test requirements.
- Prepare, install, and instrument units under test, ensuring smooth operation of test beds and programming test cells.
- Analyse test data, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to move testing activities forward.
- Coordinate a team of technicians to manage test preparations and commissioning activities.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
What You Will Bring:
- Fundamental knowledge of inverters, E-machines, and power electronics.
- Experience with rig or laboratory-based testing and evaluation processes.
- Ability to interpret electrical circuits and diagrams, with strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving, using software tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a structured approach to managing concurrent activities.
- Knowledge of hybrid and Battery electric vehicles (Preferred)
