Control Systems Engineer

 Monday to Friday days based role. 

What You Will Do:

- Provide technical support and fault diagnosis for advanced automation systems, including Siemens TIA Portal, SCADA/HMI platforms, and SQL databases.

- Troubleshoot and maintain industrial automation systems, ensuring seamless operation of multidisciplinary setups involving mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

- Monitor and optimise control system performance through preventative maintenance and system updates.

- Develop and support automation software using programming languages such as C#, Visual Basic, and Linux.

- Ensure compliance with industrial and cyber-security standards while maintaining accurate documentation of system changes and backups.

- Drive continuous improvement by identifying system issues, supporting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

What You Will Bring:

- A qualification in Electrical, Industrial Electrical Control, or Automation Systems (HNC/HND or higher).

- Siemens TIA Portal Level 3 programming certification, with additional certifications in industrial networking or SCADA preferred.

- Strong electrical fault-finding skills and the ability to read and interpret schematics.

- Hands-on experience with both hardware and software in automation systems, ideally within a food manufacturing or process machinery environment.

- A proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members.
