2 x CNC LASER SECTION LEADERS NEEDED IN SANDBACH, CHESHIRE!!!
Have you previously worked on a Trumpf Laser or CNC Laser, and have you worked or are you currently working as a Team Leader / Section Leader within the CNC area?!
We are looking for 2 experienced CNC Laser Section Leaders who have previous laser experience to join a leading engineering business in Sandbach, Cheshire.
We are looking for someone who has experience within the Sheet Metal, Fabrication or Steel industry, and has previously worked on a CNC Laser / Trumpf Laser / Amada Laser machine.
One person will be required to work a permanent morning shift (6am-2pm with an earlier finish Friday), and the other person will be required to work a permanent afternoon shift (2pm-10pm with an earler finish Friday), 43.5 hours per week.ish
The annual salary will depend on the experience you have and the shift you worked, the annual salary for the AM shift will range between £38,000 - £43,000 per annum, and the salary for afternoons will range between £42,500 - £47,500 per annum (DOE).
The hiring manager is looking for someone who holds a minimum of an ILM Level 3 or CMI Level 3 qualification, as well as someone who has had previous machine experience on a Laser (preferably Trumpf).
An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing or CNC Machining would be highly advantageous, as well as a H&S certificate such as IOSH.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and motivate a small team to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced CNC laser section.
- Operate and set Trumpf CNC laser machines, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Oversee production workflows, ensuring deadlines and quality requirements are consistently met.
- Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain a seamless production process.

Engine Fitter required in Telford, Shropshire!!!
We are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing business in Telford and helping them to recruit an additional Engine Fitter to join their team, this is working a day shift pattern (8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday) and the role comes with an annual salary up to £35,000 per annum (DOE).
Overtime is also available and is paid at T1/2 premium when worked.
This role would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked with Car, HGV or Military Vehicle Engines either in a working capacity, or as a hobby and you have previous experience with stripping and rebuilding Engines. We are currently recruiting for a Project Design Engineer, to work for our client at their site in Kidderminster, this is an exciting opportunity that has arisen and would suit someone who is a self-motivated individual who would like to join their established Engineering department.
The role will be responsible for various ongoing projects including the cost-effective design, material procurement, instigation, control and compilation and submission of all associated engineering documentation.
Job Summary:
- Shall be fully committed to the achievement of the company policies and objectives with attention to quality, safety & environment
- Will undertake reasonable instructions from senior personnel in the best interests of the company
- Assisting Sales in the preparation of quotation drawings/documentation (workload permitting)
- Assisting in the development of new equipment/new product ranges (workload permitting)
- Assisting in the creation of standard 3D models and library parts (workload permitting)
- Creating cost effective designs by integration of common parts and standardisation of components
- Producing General Arrangement drawings, Manufacturing drawings and Technical Specifications
- Producing 3D models for estimating weights, volumes, interferences, determining complex geometry, etc.
- Verification of designs by calculations and/or FEA/CFD (analysis to be carried out under supervision)
- Designing products that are safe and in accordance with Health & Safely legislation
- Designing products that comply with applicable design codes, e.g. ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, etc.
- Designing products that comply with applicable governing legislation, e.g. 2014/68/EU (PED)
- Producing material requisitions to ensure all material/quantity/technical requirements are identified
- Using standard components and referencing part numbers from the company system, where possible
- Instigation and ongoing control of projects/contracts from Sales hand-over through to delivery.
- Organisation of the duties, tasks & workload of engineers assisting on larger contracts.
- Liaison with Quality/Production to ensure ‘sub-contract’ and ‘in-house’ activity is considered and controlled
- Supervising workshop personnel and/or sub-contractors, as required Documentation
- Organisation and preparation of all engineering documentation requirements, as required by the contract
- Submission of required contract documentation to client/third party, via the Documentation department
Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum GCSE Grade 5 (equivalent grade C) or higher in Maths & English
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering essential
- Essential knowledge of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel) required
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat
- AutoCad experience essential SolidWorks & 3D Modelling
- ASME PV code knowledge preferred (i.e. ASME VIII)
- Knowledge of manufacturing, welding, piping and materials essential
- Experience of working within the Oil & Gas industry preferred
- Experience of filters, strainers and pressure vessels preferred.
