Build Solutions. Solve Problems. Shape Your Career.

Are you an engineer who enjoys getting out on site, solving real-world technical challenges, and seeing your work make an immediate impact?

We're looking for a Technical Applications Engineer to join our growing Technical Services & Solutions team in a newly created role that bridges the gap between traditional field service and project engineering.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining mechanical engineering, customer interaction and hands-on installation work while developing towards a Senior Project Engineer position in the future.

If you're looking for a business that genuinely invests in its people, offers structured career progression, and gives you the freedom to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As a Technical Applications Engineer, you'll work closely with customers, service engineers, and internal technical teams to deliver bespoke engineering solutions that enhance industrial coding and marking systems.

No two days will be the same. One day you could be carrying out a site survey, the next designing and installing a custom mounting solution, before supporting the integration of specialist equipment on a customer production line.

You'll become the technical expert customers rely upon to deliver practical, high-quality engineering solutions safely, efficiently, and professionally.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver bespoke mechanical integration solutions and installation packages
  • Design and install custom brackets, mounting systems and mechanical interfaces
  • Conduct customer site surveys and produce accurate installation documentation
  • Provide technical support throughout installation projects
  • Work alongside Field Service Engineers during planned customer activities
  • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and project records
  • Support wider engineering activities during busy operational periods

About You

  • Experience measuring, modifying, and installing mechanical equipment
  • A good understanding of electrical and software-controlled industrial machinery
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK

Why Join Us?

This isn't just another field engineering role.

This is a newly created position designed to strengthen our technical capability and create a clear development pathway into Project Engineering.

You'll receive support, training, and exposure to increasingly complex engineering projects, giving you every opportunity to progress your career into a Senior Project Engineer role.

You'll join a collaborative engineering team where your ideas are valued, your contribution is recognised and your development genuinely matters.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Annual discretionary bonus
  • Electric or hybrid company car
  • 25 days holiday plus the option to buy or sell additional leave
  • Private medical insurance
  • Health cash plan options
  • Dental and travel insurance
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Green Car Scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Generous pension with 8% employer contribution
  • Ongoing technical training and career development
  • Clear progression into Senior Project Engineering

Ready for Your Next Challenge?

If you're looking for a role where you'll combine technical expertise, customer interaction and hands-on engineering while building a long-term career, we'd love to hear from you.
