Our client is a specialist manufacturer of bespoke machinery and equipment that is used across multiple industry sectors globally. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their existing team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will focus on managing design projects from initial concept to delivery, gathering technical specifications and creating detailed 2D & 3D designs using CAD software.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities;

-          Create detailed 2D & 3D designs of technical machinery and equipment using CAD software.

-          Manage design projects from initial concept through to delivery.

-          Review and update legacy designs when required.

-          Understand the client’s needs and create custom mechanical solutions that would work best for the team.

-          Provide technical support to the Applications Team and Commissioning Teams.

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

-          Previous experience working in a Design Engineer or equivalent position.

-          Experienced in managing design projects from initial concept through to delivery.

-          Proven experience in creating detailed designs using CAD packages such as SolidWorks.

-          Knowledge of engineering analysis tools such as ANSYS would be beneficial.

-          Much has experience in creating design projects that involve moving parts.

-          Must be a team player.

Finance Director - Worcestershire


Our client is a recognised and successful family business who provide top-quality construction tools, site supplies and consumables across the UK. In support of their continued activity, we are seeking an experienced and new Finance Director to provide financial and commercial leadership stability, increasing profits in line with their ongoing growth.

Reporting to and working closely alongside the Managing Director and senior leadership team, this position is critical in supporting and maintaining strong financial control and reporting, as well as contributing to the business’s future expansion.

Working from their offices in Worcester, the Finance Director will:

  • Review and analyse the performance of the business and provide this analysis to the MD and senior leadership team on a timely basis including quarterly updates
  • Ensure all reporting including annual financial statements and tax reporting are completed within deadlines including the delivery of monthly management accounts
  • Ensure financial records are complete and compliant
  • Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders on finance matters including supporting the business’s strategic decisions (investment etc...)
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance function and department, including:
    • Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers
    • Manage and improve debt collection / accounts receivable processes
    • People and process management
  • Maintain oversight of cash flow and working capital
  • Identify and address any immediate process gaps or risks
  • Have experience of using NetSuite to support reporting and financial activities

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role
  • Strong understanding of core finance operations (AP, AR, reporting, cash flow)
  • Have suitable financial qualifications
  • Have experience of leading and managing a finance team in a product movement/fast paced organisation
  • Experience of business partnering and commercial analysis
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet tight month and year end deadlines
  • Strong communication skills to be able to establish effective working relationships across a business
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with NetSuite is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • A proven track record of winning specifications that convert into sales
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, hydronic or mechanical systems
  • Experience delivering technical presentations or CPD seminars
  • Excellent relationship building, influencing and commercial skills
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Step into a hands-on Electrical Improver role where everyday work makes a real difference to safety, reliability, and performance across commercial and industrial sites. This Electrical Improver position offers a clear 12+week assignment on a short, structured programme, helping you build momentum, showcase proven site skills, and keep your career progressing in the fire and security and electrical installation industry.

 

What You Will Do:

 

• Assist with installing containment such as conduit, tray, basket, trunking across the Derby site and keep work areas organised.
• Support the installation and dressing of electrical/fire alarm cabling under supervision, ensuring neat, safe, and compliant routing.
• Help with fitting and mounting alarm equipment and devices including detectors, sounders, call points, interfaces and associated field components (with final connections, testing and commissioning handled by qualified electricians or fire and security engineers).
• Work confidently at height from MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) as part of the site installation plan.
• Operate as an effective team member, working alongside qualified electricians or fire and security engineers and following site processes.
• Carry out the “improver” elements of the role to a high standard, contributing to smooth delivery throughout the 12-week period.

 

What You Will Bring:

 

• Experience installing containment and electrical/fire alarm cabling in commercial or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with working on electrical installation projects, including assisting with the installation of alarm equipment and cabling under supervision.
• Confidence working at height from MEWPs, with a valid IPAF licence preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• An ECS card (or equivalent) suitable for site access, ideally aligned to Electrical Labourer/Improver routes.
• A safety-first mindset and a reliable, professional approach to working under supervision on live project sites.
