Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

We are currently seeking a Production Tool Pre-Setter within the Machining Department.
Job Description
Pre-setting tools for FH Line, Vari-Axis & Versatech Machines within the machining Department
Controlling stock levels, regrinds & reclamation of over 5000 tools.
Working closely with our tooling suppliers.
Liaising with machine operators, process engineers & supervisors to ensure smooth running of 14 CNC machining centres.
Be responsible for the 5s of two pre-setting rooms in the machining department.
The Person
Essential Criteria
Have history working in an industrial setting.
Understand basic mechanical principles.
Computer literate.
Be hard working & conscientious.
Desirable Criteria
Have some machining experience.
Has worked changing cutting tools previously.
Overhead crane experience.
The role will be on Standard Mazak contract on day shift.

Job Description
The Role
The role is to repair broken Mazak spindles to new standards and will involve various assembly tasks related to spindle build such as:
- Precision measuring of spindle components.
- Precision assembly and adjustment related to Mazak work instructions.
- Carrying out various quality checks during the assembly process involving precision equipment such as micrometers, test bars, dial test indicators, clamp force and axial force gauges.
- Balancing of spindle cartridges.
- Electrical checks of stators (new and re-used/repaired) to ensure conformance to standard Mazak check sheets.
- Some electrical assembly work is required however the role is mainly mechanically focused .
The Person
Essential Criteria
- Background in precision engineering.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and good communication, attention to detail.
- Organised, able to plan ahead and good ability to follow written procedures.
- Ability to work to tight tolerances using hand tools and measuring equipment
Desirable Criteria
- Apprentice trained.
- Good understanding of mechanical component drawings and assemblies.
- Previous experience in spindle assembly.
- Good understanding of testing electrical motors and fault finding.
- Previous experience with vernier callipers, depth mics, force gauges and micrometers.
- IT skills, and previous experience with Microsoft packages

- Mechanical assembly and preparation work on a variety of modules, Lathes and Machining Centres.
- Ensure all activities are completed within Health and Safety Guidelines.

A Automation Engineering Technician is required to join an International Industrial and Automation Company that is expanding their Technical Support and Service Team.
This Position is not an I.T Systems Support Role
The Automation Engineering Technician will report to the Service Manager and will be involved in the setting and testing of capital equipment for the Battery Industry prior to despatch. The Automation Engineering Technician will be commissioning in our customer's factories and training of operator and maintenance personnel in the use of our equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities for the Automation Engineering Technician
- Assemble product development equipment and machinery to technical drawings provided.
- Modify parts and assemblies using hand & power tools such as drills, belt sanders & band saws.
- Apply experience and creativity to problem solving during build and test phases of development.
- Setting and testing of Company's Engineering's full range of Battery Assembly equipment.
- Final testing and assembly of machinery in preparation of inspection and despatch.
- Installation and commissioning of company's equipment.
- Training of customer's staff at various levels at both the company and customer's premises.
- Report writing and recommendations following all visits.
- Keep up to date expense claims and to uphold company's expenses policy.
- Liaise with Sales, Production and Design.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to other members of the team.
- National and some International Travel including weekend work where required.
- Ensure that all relevant machine documentation is always completed accurately.
- Identify opportunities for process, productivity, and quality improvements by highlighting issues.
- Adhere to and always apply all workplace management and rules consistently.
- Actively participate in improvement projects as required.
- Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholder, customers, and suppliers.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required for the Automation Engineering Technician
- Completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship and Educated to Diploma or Degree Level.
- Dual skilled and a proven track record of machine assembly and fault diagnosis.
- Able to use measuring equipment such as Micrometre & Vernier callipers with attention to detail.
- Able to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings.
- Able to read and interpret pneumatic drawings and circuits.
- Fault find pneumatic circuits to component level.
- Understanding of electrical control circuits.
- Understanding of PLC Machine controls.
- Able to write concise informative reports and offer solutions to problems.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to communicate at all levels, both orally and written.
- Must hold a Valid Identity Documents and be willing to travel Nationally and sometimes Internationally and be very flexible in terms of working hours and travel.

What You’ll Do
- Set up moulds and install them into injection moulding presses
- Configure machine parameters and process parts to specification
- Inspect sample and production parts for accuracy and quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve process issues at the press
- Record and maintain process settings and documentation
- Safely handle materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in injection moulding setup and processing (essential)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, scales, dial indicators, etc.)
- Comfortable using basic computer systems and following written instructions
- Safety-focused and physically capable of hands-on work (lifting, bending, reaching)
- IMT level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) highly desirable
- Team-oriented, reliable, and punctual
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, or overhead hoists is an advantage but not essential.
You will have current or recent experience as injection mould technician, injection moulder, injection mould setter, injection mould tool setter, injection moulder or process technician
