Key Responsibilities
Lead the Service Delivery Resource function, ensuring effective planning and prioritisation across all operational activities
Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across field-based teams
Oversee capacity planning, utilisation, and deployment of operational staff
Lead team performance, development, and training initiatives
Collaborate with construction, planning, and metering teams to align resources with demand
Forecast future resource requirements and resolve conflicts across multiple projects
Analyse KPIs to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, distribution safety rules, and company procedures
Support the development and improvement of operational processes and service delivery standards

A Calibration & Test Lab Manager is required within a Test and Measurement organisation that is involved with the Aerospace, Defence, RF, Satellite, and Broadcast Sectors. The Calibration & Test Lab Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the lab ensuring all calibration activities are performed to the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
The Calibration & Test Lab Manager role will initially combine hands on calibration activities with team management. It will involve overseeing, scheduling, resource allocation, and technical execution across a range of instruments, whilst maintaining full adherence to relevant quality standards. The Calibration & Test Lab Manager position will drive continuous improvement in processes, turnaround times, and measurement capability, while ensuring all equipment is properly maintained to the required standards.
The Calibration & Test Lab Manager will lead the growth of the lab and will be responsible for the development and mentoring of a small team of technicians and engineers, through fostering a strong culture of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities for the Calibration & Test Lab Manager
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the calibration laboratory.
- Calibrate and verify performance of bench test and measurement equipment.
- Own the P&L and deliver revenue to target whilst effectively controlling costs.
- Maintain compliance with relevant calibration standards and traceability requirements.

Experience & Skills Required for the Calibration & Test Lab Manager
- Proven experience working in a calibration, measurement, or lab environment.

- Strong technical knowledge of oscilloscopes, RF test equipment, and signal analysis tools.
- An ability to customize, configure and repair existing calibration equipment.

The Role:

- Ability to test, maintain, and repair motors, control panels, and electrical equipment
- Competent in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Experience or working knowledge of PLC fault finding and diagnostics (preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control circuits, and industrial automation
- Solid mechanical maintenance capability to support plant operations when required
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

A Lead Electronics Engineer is required within an Advanced Aerospace and Defence Services Organisation. The Lead Electronics Engineer will join the Software & Electronics team and help drive product development strategy. The Lead Electronics Engineer will be to support the design and development of products for the Aerospace markets.
The Lead Electronics Engineer will have skills in things such as DO-254 Development, Model Based Design and toolsets such as Polarion, Matlab, Simulink, Speedgoat, Labview and Altium 365.
Some flexible working may be available with a hybrid working model for part of the week.
This Lead Electronics Engineer role will be predominantly based in the Bristol area with occasional travel to client sites as required.
The Lead Electronics Engineer you will be required to:
- Provide leadership for planning, executing, and documenting hardware verification activities in accordance with RTCA/DO?254 guidelines for airborne electronic hardware.
- Planning, allocation, and oversight of technical work packages to meet deliverables within the project schedule.
