Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.
Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions are the preferred supplier to Mazak.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Service Department as a Servicing Engineer in the Midlands area.
This would suit an electrical or mechanically qualified engineer. The successful candidate will be given full training on our range of machines and become a key member of Service Team.
Job Description
A role requiring the engineer to travel to customer sites to service their Mazak machine as part of a programme of maintenance. The visits include fault diagnosis, checking machine alignments and generally servicing tasks.
Representing Mazak to our customers, the engineer will work in a professional safety conscious way at all times.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Must have electrically or mechanical experience,
Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics electrical drawings,
Have basic programme experience (Mazak/Siemens/Heidenham),
Understanding of levelling alignments and geometric of machine tools,
Knowledge and understanding of different control systems,
Experienced in the use of Mazatrol controls and the whole Mazak product range,
Professional and customer focused attitude,
A committed, 'can do' attitude,
Flexible, able to work overtime, weekends and overnight stays,
Clean driving licence,
Strong problem-solving abilities,
Ability to communicate with customers at all levels,
Transferable skills that can be put across several different models of machines.
Desirable Criteria
5-axis knowledge would be beneficial,
Experience of report writing.

What You Will Do:

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
- Fault find, repair and calibrate production machinery.
- Ensure that production downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Provide technical support to the production team and the wider engineering team.
- Fault find and repair PLCs.
- Carry out electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Assist with machine installations.

Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
- Previously worked in a Maintenance Engineering position.
- Must be electrically qualified with certificates.
- PLC fault finding experience, inputs and outputs.

FACILITIES ENGINEER REQUIRED IN KENDAL (CUMBRIA)
Are you an experienced Facilities Engineer, Plant Facilities Engineer, Plant Room Engineer, Site Services Engineer, Utilities Engineer, Industrial Site Services Engineer, Industrial Facilities Engineer or Boilerman looking for a new job opportunity, are you able to get to Kendal and are you happy working a rotating shift system?!
We are looking for a Facilities Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Kendal on a permanent basis, the working hours are a rotating 6am - 1.30pm / 1.15pm - 9.45pm shift system Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week), and the role comes with an annual salary just under £42,000 per annum.
Overtime is also available and is paid at T1/2 in the week and on a Saturday, with double time premiums paid should you work a Sunday.
This person will be responsible for maintaining various Plant Systems including Steam & Boiler, CHP, Water & Effluent, Cooling & HVAC and Boiler & Steam, the hiring manager would prefer someone who has an NVQ or C&G Level 3 in an Engineering discipline, but they will consider someone who is time served and doesn't necessarily hold the qualification.
An IOSH qualification is an essential requirement.
This will be a 2 stage interview process, with the first stage consisting of an initial team's call, followed by an on-site interview and factory tour if successful after the first stage.
What You Will Do:
- Take full responsibility for the operation, safety, and compliance of site utility systems, including steam, CHP, water treatment, and effluent processes.
- Lead engineering reliability across all utility assets, implementing preventive maintenance strategies, responding to breakdowns, and conducting root cause analysis.
- Ensure strict compliance with statutory and industry standards, including BG01, PSSR, WSE, environmental permits, and inspection requirements.
- Optimise energy and utility performance, focusing on reducing gas, water, and electricity consumption while enhancing CHP and steam efficiency.
- Manage cooling, HVAC, boiler, and water treatment systems, including chemical dosing, Legionella control, and environmental monitoring.
- Oversee safe systems of work, including permits, risk assessments, and operational governance across all utility operations.
What You Will Bring:
- IOSH qualification - ESSENTIAL
- Proven expertise in utilities and process environments, with a solid track record of driving engineering reliability - ESSENTIAL
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline - Preferred
- BOAS certification, with BOAS Manager experience - Advantageous
- Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills, combined with a self-motivated attitude and ability to work independently.
