Due to expansion, an experienced Production Operative is required for a well-established manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire. In return for your skill and experience, this business will offer you an initial annual salary of £22,000 per annum, once you have passed your probation and moved onto shifts, the salary will increase to just over £27,000.
Please be advised that this role will initially start on day shifts, but once you've passed a probationary period, you'll be required to work a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern. The pay rate will rise once you are working shifts.
As a Production Operative, you will address these tasks in a typical week:
- Putting manufactured components through the next manufacturing stage
- Checking the parts against technical drawings
- Ensuring the machines are running correctly
- Addressing any quality issues with the manufacturing department
- Ensuring all components meet the required customer standard before they progress to production.

As Maintenance engineer you will be required to;
- Provide maintenance solutions to keep the manufacturing facility and its offices in a safe and working condition.
- Support installation of new equipment, general maintenance and repair work associated with older existing equipment and all administrative duties aligned with this position.
- Carry out PPM and TPM maintenance
- Ensure that all equipment is handed back to production in a safe and workable state.
As Maintenance Engineer you will be qualified and trained accordingly.
- Electrical Installation 18th edition
- Electrical installation theory and practice part 1 and 2 (C&G or NVQ)
- Ability to read and interpret Electrical Drawings
- Experience in mechanical maintenance
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
- Diagnostic experience for both electrical and mechanical problems.
