Metal Spinner/CNC Turner - Newcastle upon Tyne - £17.65/hr to £24.06/hr - Permanent plus excellent pension and bonus - 4 day week
Do you have experience of spin forming using Leifeld machinery? We have an opportunity for a skilled Metal Spinner to join their innovative team. With a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, you'll be at the forefront of manufacturing excellence, contributing to the production of components that are integral to a wide range of industries.
What You Will Do
- Operate PNC/CNC Leifeld spin lathes to spin form and CNC turn components ranging from 100mm to 3000mm in diameter across various material grades and thicknesses.
- Conduct precise inspections of products, ensuring they meet tight tolerance requirements using manual and portable inspection equipment.
- Collaborate with Tool Preparation Operatives for timely provision of materials and tooling, enhancing production efficiency.
- Engage in the creation and amendment of setup procedures, setting up CNC machines within target times and producing components within agreed cycle times.
- Perform daily maintenance checks on machinery, reporting major issues and completing minor maintenance within capability.
- Maintain effective communication with the Cell Leader and/or Supervisor regarding daily production activities.
What You Will Bring
- Apprenticeship trained (or equivalent) in an engineering related discipline.
- Proven experience in metal spinning and CNC operation, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and produce components that meet specifications.
- Strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team environment.

Weekend Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer required to join our client's inclusive and friendly team. This full-time Maintenance Engineer role is based in Telford and offers an attractive salary of up to £53,000 and great benefits.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall mechanical and electrical maintenance of plant equipment, robots and facilities, ensuring the smooth running of the plant and limiting impact on customer demand.

As Maintenance Engineer, you can expect to carry out the following duties:
- Ensure equipment availability is in line with departmental targets
- Engage in root cause analysis of repeat or major breakdowns and provide reports with suggested improvements
- Engineer out previous issues following a continuous improvement mindset and methodology
- Facilitate Preventative Maintenance schedules and make recommendations for improvement
- Support internal customers with technical issues
This role will suit Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers, Shift Engineers, Shift Technician, Weekend Shift Technicians, Maintenance Technicians or field Service Engineers with Mechanical or Electrical bias who like to work on automated industrial equipment.
To apply for this Maintenance Engineer role, you must be an apprentice in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. You will also require the following:
- A minimum C&G engineering qualification or NVQ level 3 qualification in a related discipline
- The ability to carry out mechanical and electrical service of equipment
- Experience working with robots / automated transfer equipment essential
- Effective fault finding from electrical schematics.
- Confident fault-finding PLC’s
