Do you have experience of spin forming using Leifeld machinery? We have an opportunity for a skilled Metal Spinner to join their innovative team. With a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, you'll be at the forefront of manufacturing excellence, contributing to the production of components that are integral to a wide range of industries.
What You Will Do
- Operate PNC/CNC Leifeld spin lathes to spin form and CNC turn components ranging from 100mm to 3000mm in diameter across various material grades and thicknesses.
- Conduct precise inspections of products, ensuring they meet tight tolerance requirements using manual and portable inspection equipment.
- Collaborate with Tool Preparation Operatives for timely provision of materials and tooling, enhancing production efficiency.
- Engage in the creation and amendment of setup procedures, setting up CNC machines within target times and producing components within agreed cycle times.
- Perform daily maintenance checks on machinery, reporting major issues and completing minor maintenance within capability.
- Maintain effective communication with the Cell Leader and/or Supervisor regarding daily production activities.
What You Will Bring
- Apprenticeship trained (or equivalent) in an engineering related discipline.
- Proven experience in metal spinning and CNC operation, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and produce components that meet specifications.
- Strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
