What You Will Do:
- Perform expert diagnostics, fault finding, and rectification on all electrical systems and CAN network harnesses.
- Work on both high and low voltage systems for EV and hybrid vehicles, utilizing laptop-based diagnostic software.
- Build and modify harnesses from drawings, including 24V, High Voltage, and CAN, ensuring correct termination and fault rectification.
- Collaborate with T&D Engineers to set up vehicles with the correct components and instrumentation for testing.
- Travel to other sites and proving grounds for site-based work, including possible overnight stays and occasional overseas travel.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in automotive electrical & mechanical systems, ideally within commercial vehicles.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
- Experience with high voltage & CAN systems, fault finding, and resolution.
- Fluency in MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel) with excellent communication skills.
- Experience with instrumentation and data logging equipment.
- Knowledge and ability to carry out mechanical tests.
- PSV or HGV license is desirable, along with experience in laptop-based diagnostic equipment.
- Your work experience will be gained in the automotive industry and in particular; bus, coach, HGV, specialist vehicles or tier-1 suppliers. We would also welcome those who have gained skills from mobile plant, rail and rolling stock, aerospace, marine, or other similarly complex engineering environments.

As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the design engineering process for a specialised product set. Your experience will be crucial in product innovation, ensuring products meet safety standards and commercial objectives. This role would require a strong understanding of Aerospace mechanical engineering and involvement helping develop junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Provide design engineering expertise within contract terms or service level agreements wich included planning, coordinating and supervising major contracts
- Identify and implement improvements to existing product designs, develop and deliver product roadmap changes and new product developments
- Manage the knowledge management systems
- Adress emerging design, quality, safety and operational issues
- Oversee a portfolio of change projects, reporting progress to senior operational team
Experience, Qualifications and Skills

Reporting to the industrialisation Lead, you will play a crucial role in introducing new products, such as pilot flight equipment and submarine escape suits, into our production system. From supporting early design concepts with Design for Manufacture workshops to developing processes and overseeing low-rate initial production, you efforts will ensure a seamless transition to full-rate production. You will drive robust and rapid new product introduction by delivering comprehensive manufacturing process documentation and control plans.
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure new products and processes are introduced efficiently and controllably
- Ensure designs can be manufactured repeatable and at scale
- Establish and innovate production systems to enhance capabilities
- Introduce best-in-class practises based on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Lead Manufacturing Readiness Levels to ensure timely production with optimal processes, production lines and tooling
- Develop initial manufacturing documentation including SOPs, process control cards, PFMEAs and control plans
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
- University/ post-graduate/Masters Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering
- Extensive experience in introducing new products into operational environments
- Working knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Formal 6 Sigma knowledge and experience

What You Will Do
- Provide support to projects as required, including BOM control and management of subcontract design and analysis activity
- Assist in the design and analysis of company systems, including component selection, system integration, and performance optimisation
- Provide solutions for in-field failures and issues on products and projects
- Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges and product issues/failures observed during operation, and propose innovative solutions
- Under the supervision of the Principal Engineer, support with introduction of the solution into the products/projects
- Participate in testing protocols, data collection, and validation efforts to ensure the reliability and safety of the dual fuel systems
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering
- Strong interest & passion in de-carbonisation and robust technologies that are used for harsh environments (high TRL technologies)

The Senior/Principal Systems Engineer will be part of the Systems Engineering team and will be involved with Requirements Management to existing company products (i.e Defence, Marine and Weapons Systems).

Key Duties and Responsibilities for the Senior/Principal Systems Engineer
- Lead on the Systems Integration of Requirements and Systems Design Authority.

- Good knowledge of Verification, Validation and Systems Acceptance Certification
- Good experience with Systems Acceptance of complex products and systems.
- Experience of using requirements management tools (DOORs, Cradle)
- A strong understanding of other related Defence Projects, Products and Programmes
- Experience with Safety Critical Defence, Weapons and Marine Platforms.
