Hours: Day Shift Monday to Friday

What You Will Do:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on manufacturing machinery, including saw cutters, gearboxes, motors, belts, chains, bearings, and pulleys.
  • Carrying out routine checks on water supply, alarms and lifting equipment etc and carrying out minor maintenance on the facility
  • Conduct fault finding and basic electrical work, such as working with three-phase systems, 240v mains, control DC circuits, and replacing fuses or motors.
  • Carry out basic MIG and stick welding as needed, as well as changing saw blades and resetting breakers.
  • Monitor and maintain the water system, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Oversee maintenance work carried out by external contractors, implementing safe working procedures, and conducting risk assessments on installed machines.
  • Organise and manage the stores department, including ordering stock and maintaining stock control.

What You Will Bring:

  • A recognised electrical or mechanical qualification, such as C&G or NVQ.
  • Experience with certifications or training in any of the following areas is advantageous; Forklift Truck, MEWP, Working at Heights, Lifting Equipment, Abrasive Wheels, LOTOTO, NEBOSH, Contractor Management, or Legionella awareness.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in fault finding and repairs on complex machinery.
  • A proactive approach to implementing safety measures, including the installation of guards and rails
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and general site services, including grounds maintenance in a production setting.

Current or recent roles a site engineer, facility engineer, maintenance technician, service engineer, plant engineer, factory engineer or multi-skilled engineer

ROBOT WELDERS NEEDED IN CHESHIRE!!!

Do you have previous experience working as a Robot Welder, or are you someone who has some limited MIG Welding & Fabrication experience who would like to gain more experience within a thriving Engineering business?! If so get in touch with me today as we are recruiting for several Robot Welders to join an Engineering business based in Sandbach on a straight permanent contract.

The business offers a £2,000 signing on bonus (which is a staggered payment) and they also offer regular overtime opportunities paid at T1/3 after 39 hours, and T1/2 after 48 hours.

The working hours will initially be day shifts Monday to Friday (39 hours per week), but will then move onto a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift Monday to Friday.

An initial hourly rate of between £13.00 - £14.00 per hour will be offered whilst on days, but you will then be offered an hourly rate inclusive of shift allowance once you've moved onto the rotating shift pattern (£15.00 - £17.50 per hour).

We are looking for MIG Welders and Fabricators who have experience with MIG Welding, Spot Welding, Robot Welding or Fabrication and have previous experience working with Mild Steel.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the setup and operation of computer-controlled machines/robots to perform one or more machine functions on steel products.
  • Measure dimensions of finished product to ensure conformance to customer specifications using measuring equipment, templates, and fixtures.
  • Set up jobs whilst robots are in operation, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Work across different shifts, including a rotating shift pattern, to meet production needs.
  • Utilise state-of-the-art software for both CAD/CAM & business operating systems from enquiry right through to dispatch.
  • Contribute to the team by ensuring all operations are controlled and status updates are accessible at any time.

We are looking for Press Brake Operators who have experience with either AMADA, TRUMPF, Bystronic or Edward Pearson machines and we have several opportunities on the following shift pattern:

  • Day shifts Monday to Friday (39 hours per week)
  • Permanent morning shifts Monday to Friday (38 hours per week)
  • Permanent afternoon shifts Monday to Friday (38 hours per week)

Everyone will initially start on day shifts whilst training and this will mean a slighter lower hourly rate to begin with, but you will have the opportunity to move onto shifts once you've passed a probation period and then you will get a pay increase with shift allowance being added on top of your basic hourly rate.

What You Will Do:

  • Set up and operate press machines (Amada and/or Edward Pearson) with precision.
  • Execute bend and forming operations using both standard and custom punches.
  • Produce parts that are crucial for assembly operations.

SPOT WELDER NEEDED IN CHESHIRE!!!

Everyone will initially start on day shifts whilst training, but you will have the opportunity to move onto shifts once you've passed a probation period.

The working hours on days are 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday with a 12.30pm finish on a Friday, but you will have the opportunity to move onto a permanent morning, permanent afternoon or rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern once you've completed a three month probationary period.

The starting rate of pay will be around £12.50 per hour, but will increase up to £15.60 per hour once you move onto a shift pattern (mornings, afternoons or rotating shifts).

Overview:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to support our client at their facility in Glasgow, this is an exciting opportunity working for a leading high voltage engineering business who work across electrical power infrastructure, grid connection and renewable generation.

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to effectively manage the site operations team to install and commission a diverse range of electrical HV projects for our client. As Site Manager you will also need to take responsibility for ensuring all projects are installed and commissioned in line with Company procedures, within the agreed timeframe and with due regard to Health, Safety and Wellbeing.


Duties and responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:

  • Attend and provide input to regular meetings with Operations Manager to ensure efficient and effective management of site.
  • Prepare for and complete internal and external audits with SHEQ team.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment and materials are pre-arranged and inspected prior to arrival to site.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment and material are kept in good working order and any defects rectified in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with client and Project Engineer/Manager to co-ordinate all planned works.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our clients and supply chain partners.
  • Contribute to the future success of company and clients
  • Proactively look at ways to enhance the service offered by the business, and improve the efficiency of company processes
  • Maintain a professional image at all times

Here’s what you need to be successful in the role:

  • 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory capacity in charge of complex electrical installations or have exceptional technical skill, ability and experience beyond that of previous position.
  • Successfully completed and implement SMSTS training
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ relevant experience of electrical engineering within the electrical contracting or utility industries
  • Able to follow business processes whilst managing multiple time pressured tasks
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience of work within the high voltage sector
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office
