What You Will Do:

A Senior or Principal – Simulation and Control Engineer is required within an Advanced Aerospace, Marine and Defence Services Organisation. The Senior or Principal – Simulation and Control Engineer will be an experienced engineer working on technical projects while shaping the future of engineering.

The Senior or Principal – Simulation and Control Engineer role will suit an engineer looking to diversify or develop their experience and work within a team responsible for producing models at vehicle and system level representing plant and control algorithms.

The Senior or Principal – Simulation and Control Engineer will use the MathWorks toolset including Simulink and associated toolboxes, and a good understanding of the use of version control software (e.g. GIT) and task management toolsets as part of collaborative working is required.

The Senior or Principal – Simulation and Control Engineer is expected to have industrial engineering experience, using modelling for the development and analysis of complex systems. The Senior or Principal – Simulation and Control Engineer will have the following responsibilities (depending on experience): Control Systems, System performance, Equipment and Systems Modelling and or Vehicle Dynamics.

Flexible working May be available with a hybrid working model for part of the week.

The Senior or Principal – Simulation and Control Engineer you will be required to:

  • Developing task definition (together with the technical lead)
  • Defining model and control algorithm requirements
  • Build evaluate and test of systems models
  • Peer review of systems models
  • Preparation and presentation of results, systems models etc to customers
  • Formal verification and validation of systems procedures
  • Authoring systems model and technical documentation

The Senior or Principal – Simulation and Control Engineer Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Candidates will be degree qualified (or equivalent), in a related discipline preferably Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of fundamental modelling principles.
  • Must have knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, Actuated Systems, Electro-Mechanical Systems, Multi-Body Simulation, Vehicle Dynamics, and Systems Engineering.
  • Other desired skills and Experience with are: Marine Sector, Real Time Models, Code Generation, C/C++, Professional Attitude with Strong Time Management and Organisational Skills

Business Growth Manager - EV Motorcycles - USA

Our client is a globally recognised motorcycle brand with real heritage in the UK and internationally. In supporting and further developing their position within the USA motorcycle sector, we are seeking a NEW Business Growth Manager who will be responsible for creating buy-in on the product vision for EV business on behalf of my client, both internally and with key external partners.

Home based and travelling as required, the successful incumbent will lead the development of product pricing and positioning strategies along with the Product Strategy Teams, manage scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact; drive product launches including working with the communications team, executives, and other product/brand management team members.

With a focus on EV motorcycles, the Business Growth Manager will also be responsible for:

-    Acting as a product evangelist and an in-house EV expert with complete ownership of our clients' EV product pipeline to build awareness and understanding

-    Work closely with globally positioned Product Strategy, Product Development, Brand Managers, Operations, Marketing and Commercial stakeholders to draw on your market insight, guide their strategic decisions, and shape how their business works to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources

-    Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes

-    Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience and drive growth

-    Developing brand activations & partnerships and overseeing brand initiatives

-    Developing the channel network strategy, making them stable sales channels, motivated to introduce new products in the market

-    Creating and executing an annual brand plan for our clients' offerings to build brand awareness & aspiration through the brand's positioning in priority markets

This position is a senior role in the organisation and is instrumental in the continued expansion of their brand and range of motorcycles in the USA. It will have close contact with the international Group.

With a Degree or Masters in business, marketing or relating technical field; you will have/should be:

-    Have an exceptional knowledge and a successful background in electric & hybrid vehicles market scape and associated technologies - including infrastructure, charging, funding- acting as an advocate for electric vehicles.

-    10 - 15 years of relevant work experience preferred

-    Proven work experience in business growth, product management, strategy and EV sales

-    Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle

-    Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management

-    Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done

-    Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization

-    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
